Make hay while the sun shines at this at this gorgeous barn conversion, discovering the idyllic New Forest landscapes and sparkling Hampshire coastline. Just 1 mile from Lymington on the award-winning Warborne Farm Estate, The Hay Loft is an exclusive hideout where you can experience authentic country days. Go foraging in the orchard or collect eggs from the hens, feeding the friendly livestock and delivering lambs in the Spring. Adventure through the enchanting forests and spot the wild, prancing horses or hire a sailing boat and head out across the Solent.
The Hay Loft is one of a select huddle of luxury renovations and is set on the first-floor of the farm’s original hay barn. Boasting its own private balcony with views across the fresh orchard blooms, it is a tranquil retreat perfect for families and groups. Admire its spacious open-plan living and its beautiful shared gardens, along with its rustic-luxe fusion and salvaged natural materials. There are rugged farming features and contemporary designer stylings, framed by vaulted ceiling rafters and star-lit skylights.
Relax in the homely living area with its reclaimed mill board flooring, stoking the smouldering wood burner and sinking into the aged leather sofa. A large farmhouse table is set for bustling family feasts, which can be made in the nicely equipped, compact kitchen. Look out for the traditional Range cooker and the American-style fridge/freezer or the chestnut Butchers block and quaint harvesting basket.
Head down the hallway to find two bathrooms and three comfy bedrooms, including the master double, cosy twin and quirky four-person bunk room. Each has been finished with a blend of character and comfort and has an array of exposed brick, vintage furniture and sumptuous faux fur blankets. Handcrafted shutters are a thoughtful, personal touch and look over reimagined hay mangers and recycled wartime relics. Kids will love the built-in bunks and uber-long bed, while grown-ups will love the sink-in beds and decadent copper bathtub.
Spend wholesome days helping out on the estate, pulling on your wellies and walking its 100 acres. Taste the seasonal produce and meet the pedigree Swiss Valais Sheep, taking time to feed the pigs or the orphaned goat kids. Cycle through the woodlands or hike through the colourful heaths, taking day trips to the beach and coasteering on the craggy, seaside cliffs. There are plenty of museums and gardens waiting to be explored, while the magical Isle of Wight is just a short boat ride from the shore. For fun-filled days in, you can make the most of the communal games room, along with your TV, WIFI and garden BBQ.

Have you stayed here?
Leave a reviewWe’ve just got back from a really great 5 nights at the Hay Loft. We stayed there with our one year old daughter who really enjoyed collecting her eggs in the morning from the chickens and feeding the pigs. The accommodation has been really tastefully put together with no expense spared - lots of thought given to the small touches and details. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Warborne Farm to others.
