The detail

Seaview Beach House is a large, light-filled house with a big back garden that leads, via a wooden gate, directly on to the beach. It would be the perfect holiday home for a large family or group of friends who want to spend some serious time soaking up the sun by the seaside.

Inside you'll find a spacious living area with plenty of comfortable seating and a couple of coffee tables where you can spread out and relax in the evenings and enjoy a film on the flat screen TV. Painted white throughout, the property is sunny and light with nods toward the sea dotted around in pretty ornaments and pictures.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you could need to feed a horde of hungry people and there's a long wooden dining table with bench seating inside or you can dine on the patio with the sea only a stone's throw away.

When bedtime beckons, there are five bedrooms to choose from, two of which are twins and three doubles. They are all decorated simply and to a high standard, with white walls and bed linens, and little pops of colour in the blankets and cushions. All of the rooms have lovely views and you'll sleep deeply with the sound of the sea and the fresh air outside your window.

In the morning you'll have the choice of two family bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one a walk-in shower. Both are, as with the rest of the property, bright, clean and modern.

Once you've made your first coffee you might like to wander into the conservatory to enjoy the view. Or if it's already nice and hot, head out on to the deck and enjoy your breakfast alfresco, with the beach beckoning you just a few feet away. There's plenty of cushioned seating and it would be tempting to spend the whole day here – and why not? And after breakfast it's time to grab your sun protection, chill bag of icy drinks and a few towels and head through the gate to enjoy one of Norfolk's lovely beaches, right on your doorstep.

You can read a good book, build a sand castle or bob about in the water with the sun on your face. And when lunch time comes around, you can enjoy the back garden and not get any sand in your burger.

The hosts have provided a great games room too, which you or the kids can enjoy at any time. It comes with foosball and a ping pong table and there are sofas to lounge about in with a cold beer between tournaments.

If you want to explore the area you'll find Walcott to be a pretty coastal village offering lots of quintessential seaside experiences that will take you back to childhood. You'll be surrounded by a stunning coastline, pristine sandy beaches, and a peaceful summery vibe.

The village is home to several local pubs including the Lighthouse Inn where you can enjoy some great food and a pint, or the Poacher's Pocket which has a friendly atmosphere. If it's fish and chips you're after be sure to head to Kingfisher Fish Bar a lovely little restaurant overlooking the sea. The Norfolk Broads, a stunning area of rivers and waterways, is a short drive away and you'll find plenty to do including boat trips and fishing excursions. You might also like to visit BeWILDerwood which is only 15km away, and Cromer Pier only 21km.
