Large families and groups of friends will love this huge, open-plan barn nestled in the beautiful heart of stunning Suffolk. For all the modern luxuries and stylish fixtures, the history and heritage still seep from every brick and beam. Warren Hill Barn, at various times a threshing barn, grain mill and stables, now has space for 12 in six ensuite bedrooms and is the perfect place to relax, entertain and most importantly, have fun.
As you step into the barn, your eyes are greeted by the exposed brickwork and 17th century wooden beams of the cavernous, open-plan kitchen, living and dining area. Social butterflies will love the large dining table and bar area for entertaining, while those who want to sit back and relax can sink into the plush, luxury U-shaped sofas around the 85” smart TV. A secret, snug library is the perfect place to get some peace and quiet.
The hand-built, fully-kitted kitchen is perfect for cooking up a storm whether it’s an evening meal for 12 or a warming breakfast to start the day. The huge American-style fridge freezer holds all the ingredients for a feast and the large range cooker is up to anything you can throw at it.
If the British weather is kind, take your culinary creations out onto the walled garden terrace. For those summer evenings, make the most of the outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and BBQ for a spot of alfresco cooking. Younger ones have plenty of space to burn off energy outside, while there are several terraced areas to relax and catch some rays, no matter what time of day.
As the night draws in, head to one of the six, large ensuite bathrooms. All offer king size or super-king size beds, and one can be converted to twin singles for the little ones. Two of the bedrooms have large bathtubs for soaking away the stresses of a long day, while the rest have walk-in showers with luxury toiletries. Thick, fluffy bathrobes and towels make relaxation easy before you climb into bed and drift off under luxury bedding.
Warren Hill Barn is the perfect place for groups of friends and family to reconnect, but should you want to explore Suffolk, there’s no shortage of things to do. The towns of Bury St Edmunds, Framlingham, Aldeburgh and Southwold all offer winding streets to get lost in, artisan shops to browse and pubs, cafes and restaurants to fill empty stomachs. For those that fancy something within walking distance, the Oaksmere pub offers fine food and quality drinks. History buffs will love Sutton Hoo, Bressingham Steam Railway, Pakenham Water Mill and Snape Maltings, while those who prefer a more natural escape are spoiled with miles of walking and cycling across Suffolk and Norfolk’s rural sprawl.
