Tucked away in the peaceful Dorset countryside in six acres of stunning grounds, Abbots Court is a beautifully restored Victorian gem. With beautiful decor and wonderful design throughout, this is the perfect place for your next group retreat with friends and family.
When you arrive, gather in the cosy lounge, where giant sofas allow you to unwind with a drink in hand whilst catching up with your nearest and dearest. You even have your own private bar, where you can toast the weekend ahead or wind down with a nightcap beside the fire.
Whip up a feast in the spacious kitchen, or simply sit at the kitchen island with a glass of wine as your loved one does all the work. Then, dine together at the spacious dining table that sets the scene for grand celebratory meals.
After a busdy day, there’s no better way to recharge than sinking into the wood-fired hot tub, which offers a lovely spot where you can unwind as the stars come out. You can also while away your days strolling through the peaceful grounds of Almer Manor. Also outside, you’ll find sprawling lawns made for garden games, wooded paths for long countryside rambles and wide open skies.
When night falls, you have nine individually styled bedrooms to choose from, two of which feature sofa-beds for extra guests. One bedroom is of a Jack and Jill style with a shared bathroom, and all of the others have ensuite bathrooms for added privacy. There’s also a second floor apartment that has two bedrooms and one main bathroom. These rooms all add up to sleep 18 guests in total comfort - or up to 22 with a little notice.
If you want to bring some extra guests with you, you can book the additional charming shepherd’s huts and boutique glamping pods that are tucked just beyond the Manor, offering all the character of the main house with a little more under-the-stars magic.
Step beyond the manor gates and you’re straight into the heart of the Dorset countryside, which offers an ever-changing patchwork of open pastures, golden rapeseed fields and magical bluebell woods.
If you’re up for a little adventure, you’re perfectly placed. In under 30 minutes, you can dip your toes in the award-winning sands of Poole and Sandbanks, marvel at the wild beauty of the Jurassic Coast or spend a family-friendly day out at Monkey World. Whether it’s windswept walks, lazy beach days or something for the kids, there’s something special in every direction.
