Relax and unwind in this beautiful retreat situated in pretty farmland in the stunning Cotswolds. These two cute wooden shepherds huts have been joined together in an 'L' shape to create a wonderful holiday home amongst fields and woodland. Built from stripped timbers, with pretty green doors and windows and a corrugated iron roof, the 'Shepherd's Retreat', is a marvellous spot to enjoy some well-deserved time relaxing from the pressures of the everyday.
Stepping into the pretty interior and guests will be wowed by what is, essentially, a cosy boutique cottage. It is full of character, from the dark wooden floorboards to the pretty blinds, soft furnishings, pendant lights and vintage furniture. Large armchairs and sofas, adorned with cosy throws, invite guests to make themselves at home with a cup of tea.
The master bedroom is situated to the side of the living area and has a lovely antique desk, chest of drawers and armchair. A roof light lets in natural light and makes star-spotting possible from the comfort of the gorgeous bed, which is dressed in 100% cotton linens with a thread count of 300. A superb bathroom can be found beyond the master and the double shower is the ideal place for spoiling oneself after long days exploring the area. A second hidden bedroom has double sized bunk beds, perfect for two adults or four children. Whatever the age visitors will love this room.
The extremely generous kitchen is classic modern, with dark cupboard decor and solid wooden countertops. This space has everything guests could need for preparing meals, as well as a large antique dining table and dresser. Throw open the patio doors, let the sunshine in and the children out, and settle down for a quiet breakfast whilst taking in your wonderful surroundings.
Outside is a large decked area with planters brimming with aromatic lavender, outdoor furniture including sun loungers and a dining table and chairs, and your own private hot tub. There is an extra large canopy umbrella offering shade from the strong summer sunshine. So, settle into the hot tub with a drink, enjoy the scent of the flowers and take in the stunning surroundings.
The picture-perfect Cotswolds is one of the UK's most popular holiday spots and is full of charming villages, pretty walking routes, and marvellous rural pubs. The Cheltenham Race Course is also just 20 minutes away and makes a great day out, especially during the famous Gold Cup. Guests can also roam from the front door and yomp up to Bredon Hill for great views. You are spoiled for choice when it comes to eating and drinking out. The local Elmley Castle is just a two minute walk away and other popular pubs include The Inn at Welland and The Bell at Eckington.
