The detail

This unique glamping retreat is set in a picturesque woodland setting in Warwickshire. It consists of two beautifully handcrafted cabins, both boasting gorgeous views of the idyllic surroundings. Each cabin can sleep two adults and two children, making them ideal for romantic getaways and family retreats. Alternatively, the whole site can be booked for a magical holiday for groups of up to eight. The secluded, tranquil location is perfect for escaping the stress of modern life, switching off and reconnecting with nature and your loved ones.

The cabins are around 40 meters apart from each other but are totally private, with shared facilities separating the two. Each was custom-made by one of the owners, a master carpenter, with your comfort at the forefront of their design. Everything you could need for a relaxing stay is included, and whilst the cabins are off-grid, there are solar-powered USB plugs for charging phones and small devices.

Each bolthole features a cosy open-plan interior, which is kept warm all year round by a wood-burning stove. Inside you’ll find a comfy double bed with super soft bedding and a sumptuous sofa that converts into an additional bed, suitable for up to two children. A travel cot can be provided on request. At the far end is the kitchenette, well-equipped with a gas hob, terracotta fridge, pots and pans and cooking utensils. Crockery, cutlery and glassware is also included for up to four people to dine together.

Outside each cabin is a spacious, decked terrace, a wonderful place to soak up the surroundings. Down from the terrace, you’ll find a fire pit area with a hanging tripod BBQ, ideal for grilling up dinner alfresco style. The shared facilities are a few steps away. They consist of a hot shower and sink cabin (eco-friendly toiletries and cleaning products are provided) and a compost toilet.

There are additional extras available to make your stay extra special, including a ‘Celebration Package’ with Organic prosecco and the ‘Honeymoon package’, where you can arrive to a bottle of Moet, artisan chocolates and roses on your bed.

Guests are free to explore the whole woodland site, which features everything from a children’s play area to an axe-throwing range. There are also some fantastic local walks, one scenic hour-long stroll to the local village of Barford and its two cosy pubs, and one shorter walk down to the River Avon, a great spot to have a picnic.
