Nestled in the Bracciano Hills just an hour north of Rome, Villa Toji is a unique and luxurious holiday home in a beautiful natural setting. With such a fantastic location, you're only ever a one-hour drive from the amazing Vatican museums or the Colosseum, and can retire back to the comfort of the villa at the end of the day.

The villa takes its name from the novel of the same name by Park Kyung-ni and, following a theme that runs through the book, explores the relationship between art and nature. Surrounded by rolling green hills and a huge garden, this striking pink villa has been lavishly furnished to create spaces that evoke luxury and modernity alongside a sense of surrealism. From the bright, bold furnishings to the eclectic artwork, you'll find something new and intriguing around every corner.

The huge, light-filled kitchen is ideal for entertaining. The dining table can easily accommodate up to 12 guests, none of whom will forget the quirky details, from the spectacular glass light fixture overhead to the two pink Smeg fridges. You'll find everything you need to prepare delicious meals for large groups with state-of-the-art appliances and high-quality kitchenware.

After dinner, head through to the elegant lounge where you'll find a beautiful, traditional fireplace, chandeliers and a piano, all adding to the sense of luxury. Gather here in the evenings for a glass of something before bed and perhaps a tune or two. If anyone needs a quiet spot to get stuck into a good book or perhaps get a little work done, the glass-enclosed loggia on the second floor offers a peaceful space with panoramic views.

There are six beautifully furnished bedrooms, all with their own ensuite bathrooms. The rooms can all be set up as singles or doubles, depending on your preferences, and are complete with spacious wardrobes, armchairs and coffee tables providing everyone with their own space. The bathrooms feature slipper bathtubs, large showers, radiators for your towels and fluffy bathrobes and slippers waiting for you.

Outside, is a large garden to explore with fruit trees bearing figs, kiwis, oranges and lemons alongside magnificent cypresses and pines. There's a large pergola covered with vines, providing a shaded space to relax and enjoy the fresh air. This is the ideal spot to relax with a book or gather the family together for a BBQ. On sunny afternoons, sit out in one of the armchairs listening to the sound of the fountain and soak up the peace and quiet.

There's plenty of exploring to be done in the area. Start with a trip to the lakeside medieval town of Bracciano where you'll find a castle overlooking the clear waters. The town has a rich history that dates back to the Etruscans, and you can wander its narrow streets, visit its charming shops, and sample delicious local cuisine. There are several other towns set on the banks of the lake, including Anguillara Sabazia and Trevignano Romano, where you'll find plenty more in the way of charm and culture. Less than ten minutes from the villa, you'll find Bosco di Manziana, a regional park known for its beautiful hiking trails and diverse flora and fauna. Stigliano Thermal Park is also nearby where you can relax in the natural hot springs and book yourself in for some wellness treatments.
