Located in Rome’s Monteverde Vecchio neighbourhood, this lavishly decorated villa makes a great base for exploring the city. You’ll be greeted by a grand reception hall with an antique marble staircase leading up to four spacious ensuite bathrooms. Enjoy breakfast and a coffee at the Carrara marble table or out in the garden before heading out into Rome or to the Vatican City.
The interior has been renovated and beautifully decorated in a style that highlights the features of the 100-year-old building. The high ceilings and marble details are complemented by contemporary decor and bold feature wallpaper. There’s a modern kitchen that leads through to the main living area with a large dining table at one end and luxurious velvet sofas to sink into at the other.
The four ensuite bedrooms are individually furnished with their own colour schemes and furnishings. In one, you’ll find a modern four-poster bed and walls decorated in calming grey tones, while in another, you’ll find an elaborate peacock at the centre of a feature wall. They all have stylish bathrooms where you’ll find rainfall showers and toiletries waiting for you.
The villa is surrounded by a garden, a bit of a rarity in Rome, which offers a bit of private space outdoors to relax. There’s an outdoor dining table with a canopy to offer some shade if you fancy eating outdoors. There are also some large sofas and armchairs creating an outdoor living space, the perfect spot to put your feet up after a busy day exploring or to relax with a glass of something before dinner.
Located in the Monteverde Vecchio neighbourhood, you’ll be close to plenty of Rome’s historical attractions while getting a taste for life in the city today. One of the main attractions in the area is Villa Pamphili, one of Rome's largest parks. This is a fantastic place for joggers and fitness fanatics and offers a series of attractions such as the newly-restored Villa Pamphili, several lakes and plenty of woodland. There is a lack of public transport into the historic centre, but this offers a pleasant and unhurried way of life.
You can also stroll through the streets with their colourful buildings and friendly cafes or through Villa Doria Pamphili’s beautiful landscaped park. Visit the Acqua Paola Fountain and Bramante’s famous Tempietto for a bit of culture before stopping off at one of the trattorias for some delicious local food. You’ll also be able to reach other areas of Rome easily, including the vibrant Trastevere district with its bohemian atmosphere and the fascinating Vatican City is also nearby.
