Nestled in the treetops with stunning views across the rolling Surrey Hills, Treescape is your luxury family glamping safari getaway. Take in sunset and sunrise from your private terrace and sit back as the wind rustles the leaves around you. Located on a private estate, spend your days wandering the woods, feeding the animals or soaking in the wood-fired hot tub. Perfect for active families looking to reconnect with nature without losing life’s little luxuries, Treescape is easily accessible from London and the rest of the South.
As you approach Treescape, the safari tent is lost among the mature trees and splendid isolation of the glorious Surrey countryside. Climb the wooden steps up to your private wooden terrace and imagine yourself sitting back with a glass of something cold as the sun dips below the rolling green hills. The open-plan tent boasts plenty of room for the whole family, with large comfy sofas that create the perfect living space on those cloudy days when you can play board games, read a book or settle in for a movie night on the smart TV. In the colder months, light the log burner and bathe in the warming glow under thick blankets.
The fully-equipped kitchen contains everything you need to feed a hungry family, and the huge dining room table with benches is enough to fit everyone around. In the mornings, the coffee machine fills the tent with the smell of fresh coffee - the perfect accompaniment to cooked local bacon and eggs. Two bedrooms can be configured into kingsize beds for mum and dad or twin and triple singles for the kids, and there’s additional sleeping space in the living room. All beds feature thick mattresses that are adorned with luxury bedding for the perfect night’s sleep among the trees.
After waking up rejuvenated and recharged, the WC, basin and hot shower are seconds away from your tent in a converted horse trailer to refresh for the day ahead. On the grounds of Treescape, there’s enough to keep the whole family entertained for days. Whether you’re taking woodland walks, building dens, playing tennis or ping pong, feeding the animals or taking a dip in the hot tub, there’s plenty for everyone. If you prefer a slower pace, there are plenty of deckchairs and hammocks to unwind in. In the evenings, why not make pizzas as a family, or fire up the BBQ for some alfresco terrace dining? As the sun sets, gather around the fire pit and get ready for some stargazing.
Located less than an hour from South West London near the village of Shamley Green, there’s lots to do if you want to explore Surrey. The Surrey Hills AONB offers plenty of walking, riding and cycling routes. For the best views, walk to the top of Leith Hill or Holmbury Hill. Shamley Green has everything you need for the essentials (as well as a pub for a cold pint), while the nearby towns of Godalming, Guildford and Dorking offer a mix of shops, restaurants, cafes and things to do.
