  The Detail...

Camping is never cooler than when enjoying the classic Airstream experience. This slice of retro Americana sits in the pretty Norfolk countryside where the trees, sky and flowers are mirrored in the sides of these iconic wagons. Tin Can Camping offers a range of accommodation for the ultimate clamping experience.

The Bubble is the cosiest of the fleet and stepping into this shiny cocoon feels like stepping back to the fifties with the red formica surfaces, varnished wooden fittings and pretty plaid curtains at the windows. As with all the caravans at Tin Can Camping, modern day fixtures have ben incorporated to ensure you keep one foot in the comfortable and convenient 21st century. Cuddle up at night on the memory foam mattress, under snuggly duvets and nod off to the sounds of the owls hooting.

A gas hob top and refrigerator make putting together cosy suppers on rainy evenings (because a camping trip wouldn't be the same without some traditional British weather) a cinch. A table, with cushion-clad seating, is a great space to enjoy meals, read books or play cards.

The Caravanner is a stunning vehicle, stylish, authentic and a beautiful preserved slice of bygone times. Windows run across the one side of the van, back and white checked vinyl covers the floors and it even has its original oven, still in full working order. A comfy double bed fills one end, while the benches in the dining area can be converted into beds for two young children.

The retro vibe continues with The Jewel, an American diner styled-van. It sleeps two in a cosy double and is filled with a combination of modern conveniences and vintage touches - all impeccably styled for a fashionable stay.

The largest and the youngest of the fleet, it's a baby at only 40-something years-old, is The Sovereign. Long, shiny and sleek, it sleeps four in one double and bunk bed pods.

Alternatively, for those not able to camp, there is a boutique self-catering cottage, The Nook, available to hire on site. This pretty country cottage has a lovely bright white interior with traditional touches including a four-poster bed, pretty floral furnishings and vintage-style decor.

The site has three immaculate and modern bathrooms, one has double sinks and a double walk-in shower. There is an additional shared lounge area for all guests which has a pool table, kitchen with espresso machine, dining table, comfy sofas and underfloor heating. Empty bellies can be filled at many of the great local pubs, cafes and restaurants. Favourites include The Sail Loft at Southwold, Old Hall Farm at Woodton and The Castle Inn at Bungay.
