Swim in the heated outdoor pool, brave a dip in the River Mells, warm up in the wood-fired horse-box sauna or gather around the Argentinian BBQ as evening settles over the grounds. With no other guests sharing the estate, this is a fabulous setting for big family gatherings, celebrations, wellness weekends and corporate retreats.
At the heart of the estate is Somerleaze House, comprising the grand Victorian house and adjacent Limestone Gem stone cottage. Together they offer seven bedrooms and space for 14 or more guests, alongside multiple living areas where your group can gather or find a quiet corner. The bespoke kitchen is a particular highlight, with beautiful Macchia Vecchia marble, a copper hood, Miele appliances and an integrated wine fridge, while the main dining room seats 14. Across the estate there is combined dining space for more than 24 guests, giving everyone plenty of room to come together over long, leisurely meals.
The Old Stables offers another three double bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. Originally the estate's 1880s stable block, it has been transformed into a luxurious ranch-style retreat with a vaulted, beamed living room, country kitchen and elevated dining platform. It has its own private entrance but connects seamlessly with the main house when the whole estate is booked.
Days here can be as active or relaxed as you like. Swim beneath the open sky in the walled pool garden, then stretch out on a lounger or follow the river walk through the grounds. The private gym has a Pilates reformer, free weights and yoga space, while outside you'll find a five-a-side football pitch, croquet lawn, trampoline and garden games.
