  The Detail...

Nestled into the hillside on a private stretch of river sits The Watermill, a gorgeous converted mill which sleeps up to 10 guests across three floors. This generously proportioned brick and stone mill has been cleverly architected to take advantage of the abundance of still and flowing water nearby. From the sun-drenched conservatory to the reading room with its views over the pond, every space in this beautiful building will ensure an intense feeling of tranquillity and peace. From rising in the morning to drink a cup of coffee while you watch the trout in the river outside, to curling up by the woodburning stove, listening to the soothing trickle of the river, every moment spent in The Watermill feels magical.

From your own private meadow, cross a wooden bridge and arrive into the perfect escape in North Wales. Everything has been thought of by the landscaping architects, from the gently undulating wooden bench to the choice of two expansive timber decks overlooking the natural mill pond. After soaking up the sun with friends or family, step onto the ground floor of the Watermill, where youll find the wood-burner lounge with, and the reading room, two idyllic space to snuggle up and watch the river from. The full size kitchen is also on this floor, with its dining table for ten, Neff double oven and capacious American style fridge-freezer; everything you need to cater for a multi-family getaway.

Down a spiral staircase from the ground floor youll find the cinema, which boasts a serious home entertainment system. The cinema screen is connected to Apple TV, Netflix and Amazon Prime, and sits across from a substantial sofa for multiple generations to sit back for a movie night. On this floor youll also find the games room with its vintage pinball machine and jukebox, and the Waterwheel Suite replete with slipper bath, rain shower, walk in wardrobe, smart TV and direct access to the garden. The other four bedrooms are on the first floor, two storeys up.

Up to eight vehicles can park at The Watermill, making it ideal for larger families or groups of couples. Alternatively, come through the gorgeous landscape by train, arriving at the station mere minutes away. The Watermill is the dream holiday spot for larger groups looking for somewhere to stay in serious luxury while taking in the breath-taking vistas of North Wales or the wonderful attractions that Chester has to offer. Right on your doorstep is an excellent local, The Holly Bush pub, and you can enjoy a leisurely lunch at Honeys Riverside Caf. Damien Strong says...
"We stayed at the Watermill with family of various ages, our stay was amazing. The Watermill provided everything you could possibly need on your stay, the property is beautiful, very clean and the welcome hamper was a beautiful touch and we were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived being greeted by the house keeper who was also lovely. The games room was fantastic helping us to keep the children entertained for hours without even leaving the house. The house is very large full of many amazing features and cosy rooms to relax in. When we did explore the grounds they were beautiful. We would highly recommend staying at The Watermill, we will most defiantly be going back to stay at The Watermill next year."

"We were group of eight (two families) - we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Watermill. The Watermill is stunning and the space both inside and out is fabulous with plenty of space for everyone to relax. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. "We gathered at "The Watermill" for a special family celebration. Our party was made up of all ages; from 70-7 years of age, and the Mill provided us all with entertainment (you must check out the games cupboard in the cinema). The weather was kind to us and we made full use of the grounds. On the Saturday evening we hired the Chef (Lee), who was recommended in the literature. We had a fantastic meal and a really memorable night. Every aspect of The Watermill was planned to perfection. The only fault we could find was that the photographs on the website didn't do the building justice. It was so much better in reality."

"Stayed at the Watermill to celebrate my wifes 30th Birthday last weekend with a group of friends. Firstly, contact with Robin and Wendy was second to none and communication was prompt and easy. On arrival we were totally blown away by property and this continued as we explored the inside. The facilities were amazing and everything was such high quality. There was plenty of space for the whole group and lots of large communal spaces. We spent a lot of time in the cinema room and games room and the kitchen was a lovely social space too. Cant recommend this place highly enough. Quiet, picturesque, unique and definitely somewhere we hope to return to soon!"

"We booked the Watermill for three nights to celebrate New Years there and we absolutely loved it! It is spacious, beautifully decorated and stylish! The whole property is equiped to make your stay comfortable and very enjoyable! We were 4 families and we all loved it! There was plenty of entertainment for the kids with the screen projector and the games downstairs! The adults could relax by the fireplace and enjoy the lovely sound with fun movies! The kitchen was big enough for all if us to enjoy meals together, and the grill works perfect if you want to have barbecue. You can find something for everybody, as its very close to Chester and the local pub! A place I would definitely like to come back to! Thanks Robin and Wendy we had such a lovely time!"

In reallity, it surpassed our expectations.
The watermill has an abundance of character where new and old merge. It is extremely spacious with a large sitting room, reading room and a cool cinema room where our kids disappeared and didnt bother us throughout the whole stay.

The beds are very comfortable. The kitchens is well equipped. The house is just perfect and I wholeheartedly recommend it and would love to return. ."
