  The Detail...

Perched amidst the breath-taking mountain ranges of the Eastern Czech Republic, a stones throw from the Slovak and Polish borders, and sitting within a twenty acre wildflower meadow, Tara is a historic and inviting farm house with enviable valley views. Decorated in the traditional style of this corner of Eastern Europe, and built entirely from wood, Tara combines serious cosiness with an abundance of space. It also has all of the amenities youll need to enjoy a relaxing time away with friends or family in one of the last untouched regions of the Czech Republic.

Tara is located in the celebrated Beskedy Mountain Nature Reserve, making it the dream destination for those who enjoy tranquillity, nature, and sprawling hiking trails populated only by rare and beautiful birds. Looking out from the forty foot veranda, guests can see only forest, rock, and birds, without a single item of human activity to mar the vista.

Upon arriving, youll be struck immediately by the intense sense of calm and relaxation which this large wooden house exudes, being set back from the hustle and stress of contemporary urban life. For those wanting peace and privacy from their time away, Tara will not disappoint; the only sounds come from the abundance of local wildlife.

Internally, the aesthetic combines traditional farm house architecture with a touch of home comforts. Soft furniture, earthy toned bricks and woven rugs have been utilised to create comfortable and welcoming spaces, including multiple communal areas for different generations to congregate together in. On the ground floor there is one isolated single room, and another single which leads into a double. Upstairs, a family style room boasts a king-sized double and two singles, while the other two bedrooms contain a double bed, and a large four poster with a two-child sofa bed next to it respectively.

Tara represents the kind of holiday accommodation where the house itself is a treat, rather than merely a base to leave the morning and return to by night. With its 410 square feet of living space, DVD enabled satellite television, and barbecue outhouse in the orchard, Tara has any number of reasons not to leave the grounds. When you do strike out youll be pleased to find that the closest village, Bila, contains a ski-lift which can take you to the top of the mountain with skis in the winter and bicycles (which can be rented at the lifts) in summer.

Youre also right by the charming Sance reservoir lake. While youll have your own privacy and space, there are numerous charming bars and teahouses in the valley and dotted about the mountain, making this is a great place to experience local cuisine and customs.
