Since 1975 Monnow Valley has been a famous studio where the likes of Oasis, Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Plant, Simple Minds, the Charlatans, Pulp and Sir Tom Jones recorded tracks. The recording studio's cartwheel doors are the backdrop for the cover of Oasis's first single, Supersonic.
Refurbished in 2020 it's now an epic 11 bedroom, 10 bathroom retreat with a huge soundproofed party room - originally the recording studio and now kitted out with disco lights and a sound system so you can party like a rock star.
Hidden at the end of a country lane, Monnow Valley Studio sits in mature gardens, bordered by the River Monnow, just outside the village of Rockfield. The house may once have rung to the cries of Ozzy Osbourne, but now offers peace and privacy amid the lovely Monmouthshire countryside.
Monnow Valley is generously proportioned, with the huge, bright kitchen at its heart. It's fitted with all the gadgets and mod-cons you could need, including an enormous American-style fridge freezer, two dishwashers, coffee maker, double oven, wine fridge, plus the added bonus of a vintage mixing desk set behind the sink. The dining room is an incredible space, vast glass walls set between tree trunk pillars, giving you gorgeous 270 degree views down to the river as you eat.
The living spaces are a large lounge with an adjoining snug, giving people plenty of room to spread out. The lounge comes with TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sky and plenty of comfy couches on which to sit back and watch some box sets while warming your toes in front of the wood burner. The studio control room has been converted into a games and cinema room with a massive drop down screen and surround sound, just made for movie nights, plus a PS4, pool table, darts and ping pong, ready and waiting for an all-house tournament.
When night falls you can really get the party started in the soundproof studio room. Karaoke, music, piano, dancing - be as loud as you like, safe in the knowledge no one can hear you.
When it's time for bed, sleep in the same rooms as some of rock's most famous names in one of the house's 11 bedrooms, seven of which are en suite. On the ground floor are two connecting en suite bedrooms with separate access, suitable for those with limited mobility. The first and second floor bedrooms offer a flexible mix of double and twin rooms, painted in Farrow and Ball shades and there are a further three family bathrooms.
Morrow Valley Studio sits in acres of mature and private gardens beside the beautiful River Morrow. Have a splash in the wild river waters, then jump in the outdoor jacuzzi to warm up. On summer days fire up the BBQ and eat lunch on the patio sofas in the sunshine.
If you want a day out from your rock 'n' roll retreat the historic town of Monmouth, with its castle, pubs and independent shops is only a couple of miles away. Beyond you'll find the breathtaking Wye Valley with miles of country walks.

2 night weekends can be accepted depending on availability
