Ling House is a beautiful country house that sits on the edge of Sandringham Estate, one of Queen Elizabeth's official residences. Its location means that it is the perfect base for those wishing to explore the picturesque Norfolk countryside. Whether it is the arresting views of the Norfolk coast, the various hiking trails, or the numerous charming towns and villages that you are after, Ling House has easy access to all that this stunning part of the world has to offer. However, this property promises so much comfort and country charm to guests that staying put is just as good an option. With its beautifully bedecked interior, spacious rooms, quaint charm, and comforting air, Ling House is the perfect East Anglian getaway.
The ground floor houses a comfortable living room with an open fireplace, a playroom (with plenty of games for the kids and a double sofa bed), a dining room seating up to 12, and a fully equipped country kitchen. The kitchen comes with its own Aga and a separate oven, making it ideal for cooking up a large feast. On the first floor is the main bathroom and six bedrooms: one twin room, two king-sized, and three super king-sized bedrooms. Two of the super king rooms have en suite bathrooms. Outside, guests can enjoy the large garden and relax around the firepits. Perfect for an evening of stargazing or some impromptu al fresco supper.
Ling House is situated on Sandringham Estate, one of the Queen's official residences. The Estate's house, gardens and museum are open annually from the end of March until the end of October. Ling's location also means that it is the ideal base for those hoping to explore the Norfolk countryside. Just a few miles to the north is the Norfolk Coast - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Peddars Way - a long distance footpath - is also easily accessible, making it the perfect retreat for those who enjoy a spot of leisurely hiking. The area is home to various cycle routes and an abundance of outdoor activities are on offer. Nearby villages worth visiting include Burnham Market and Thornham, while the town of King's Lynn and city of Norwich are a 20 minute and hour drive away respectively.
