The Vestry is one of two gîtes at Le Jardin du Curé, a tranquil escape in the countryside that has been stylishly renovated whilst retaining all the charm of its original features. It would be ideal for a small family or group friends seeking a peaceful oasis and lazy days by the pool.
When you step inside you'll find a spacious, cool open plan living, dining and kitchen area with high ceilings and simple elegant furniture. The sofa and armchair both open up into additional beds which would be ideal for any children travelling with you, and whilst homely the area is spacious and uncluttered.
The kitchen is particularly nice with white walls, modern tiles, black cupboards and fittings and everything you could need to cook a feast to be enjoyed at the four seater round table.
The addition of a mezzanine level really opens up the space and you'll find the main sleeping area up the wooden staircase. There's a double bed that can be separated into twins and two further single beds in the same space but tucked away in their own nook with a heavy curtain for privacy.
The bathroom is spacious and has a good sized walk in shower. The whole gîte is flooded with natural light from the many windows and is a relaxing place to kick back with a book and a glass of chilled wine.
When you head outside you'll be absolutely delighted by the garden which has a cosy wildness. There's a wooden table and seating for alfresco dining and it's easy to imagine whiling away hours here with fabulous wines and cheeses as the fairy lights twinkle on and the stars come out.
There's a shared swimming pool where you can spend the day on the sun loungers and occasionally dip in to cool down. And as there are only two accommodations here it will never be overcrowded, and you might even make some new friends.
There's plenty to explore in the area and guests at The Vestry will be charmed by the local villages like Realmont which is only a 10-minute drive away and is steeped in history. There's a lively market to explore, and buy all that wonderful cheese from, which takes place every week and showcases all the local artisans and farmers best produce.
In Gaillac you'll discover some delightful vineyards where you can sample your new favourite wine whilst enjoying the stunning views. If you fancy venturing a little further afield you'll only be an hours drive from the fabulous city of Toulouse with its food markets, wonderful restaurants and bars aplenty.
