Around six miles from Bridport in West Dorset, Lambrook Cottage offers far-reaching country views from its location at Laverstock Farm. Up to eight people and two dogs can enjoy this cosy four-bedroom cottage, ideally placed for exploring the famed Jurassic Coast.
Located between Pilsdon Pen and Lewesdon Hill, the highest hills in Dorset, the working farm of Laverstock is a peaceful and family-friendly setting, with a children’s play area and chickens, ducks, pigs, goats and sheep to see. This cottage has a large terraced area of its own, complete with Weber barbecue and garden furniture, from which you can access the extensive grounds.
An open-plan living area is found on the ground floor, incorporating the kitchen, dining area and lounge. Bare stone walls, wooden beams and a chunky dining table and benches add rustic character to the space, which has direct access outside, and a wood-burning stove warms the seating area, equipped with Smart TV and DVD. The kitchen is chic as they come, with charcoal grey units and copper accessories.
Also on the ground floor, you have a double bedroom and family bathroom, as well as a twin bedroom with bunk beds. Upstairs, a further two double bedrooms both offer an en suite shower room. Wherever you choose to sleep, your bedroom will be supremely comfortable and well-dressed.
The farm also has a communal games room where you can keep yourself entertained with table tennis, table football and darts.
Beautiful countryside and coastline is something of a Dorset speciality, so set off down one of the local footpaths and see what you come across. You can soon be down on the coast exploring nearby West Bay, Charmouth, Lyme Regis or any number of other picturesque locations. Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty fan out in all directions, so Lambrook Cottage is the perfect base for getting out and about and seeing it all.
Nearby Bridport is a pretty place you’ll want to get to know. In addition to its many intriguing shops and tempting places to eat, you can also take a boat trip from the harbour and see the Jurassic Coast from the water – surely the best vantage point there is.

Leave a reviewI couldn't recommend Laverstock Farm more, especially for families looking for an escape in the most glorious of settings. We loved every minute of our time there and our 4-year-old adored having animals on her doorstep. Plenty of things to do in the general area too - all against stunning backdrops. Thank you for a perfect stay - we were made to feel so at home!

What a special place! We adore this part of Dorset and nestled away in the beautiful rolling hills is Lambrook cottage. We had such a wonderful relaxing time, the cottage is so beautifully decorated and absolutely pristine. The kitchen has everything you need and there’s plenty of space. The children had the most wonderful time playing outside and visiting the pigs. We all enjoyed exploring the farm it was just lovely. Also nice and close to Bridport and Chesil beach. So much to do and see but equally lovely just relaxing in the cottage. A cottage for all seasons, we’d love to come back in the winter and light the log burner! Thank you so much Emma you’ve created such a wonderful place!
