The Details

This charming and quaint cottage sits in the heart of the wonderful Gower Peninsula and is tucked away in the pretty village of Parkmill. The home is hidden down a leafy single-track lane that creates a real sense of peace and privacy. And with the picturesque coastline a short walk away, you’re never stuck for things to do.

When you enter, you’ll find a calming space with lovely whitewashed walls and lots of natural light. Thoughtfully designed throughout, this home offers a number of stylish touches, from the Anglepoise lamps, Toast wool cushions, Ercol dining set and cool Welsh slate underfoot.

Get comfy in the lounge, where a big sofa offers the chance to curl up with a good book or relax with your loved one catching up over a glass of wine. The Charnwood wood-burning stove in the corner keeps things nice and toasty whatever the weather outside.

Just off the lounge is the kitchen, which is nicely equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare tasty meals during your stay. And, there’s a cute dining table for four in the living room and a cosy dining snug in the garden, should you wish to dine together in the fresh Gower air. To top it all off, you even have an amazing outdoor kitchen, which makes whipping up an alfresco feast a joy. Out here, you’ll find a grill, a superb fire bowl and a fantastic Gozney pizza oven.

Also in the garden is an abundance of shade and greenery, alongside some stunning outdoor lighting and the covered seating area, which also has a heater for cooler evenings. This is a perfect spot to relax with your loved ones over an afternoon snack or evening tipple.

When night falls, head back inside and make your way upstairs to the cosy double bedroom for a wonderful night’s sleep. There’s also a sofa bed downstairs that can sleep two more guests, meaning that Jacob Cottage can sleep a total of four if needed.

The cabin is tucked away in the leafy woods of Parkmill, reached along a rustic, unmade track that adds to the feeling of adventure. Once here, you’re surrounded by birdsong, trees and the gentle hush of nature – a wonderfully peaceful hideaway. Step outside and you can wander straight into the woods, where a footpath meanders through the valley and leads you directly to the sweeping sands of Three Cliffs Bay. This spectacular beach, framed by dramatic limestone cliffs, is one of the Gower’s true gems.

The location is blissfully quiet, yet brimming with things to discover. Lace up your walking boots and explore endless footpaths, stumble upon hidden coves or simply lose yourself in the wild beauty of the Gower Peninsula – all right from your doorstep.
