Sleeping two adult guests in a built-in double bed with a surprising abundance of living space, this lovingly upcycled camper van is the dream getaway for couples looking to stay in a chic island-style space in Kent. Everything about this static van from its engineered wood-burning stove to its miniature but impressive kitchen has been cleverly designed and will bring a smile to your face. Stretch out in front of the fire or curl up on the lawn furniture and survey your own little kingdom for the night.
Gulliver sits in a private courtyard style patio, with timber walls and an array of retro style decorations, creating an instant sense of relaxation and comfort. Painted to resemble a pretty jungle scene, the camper van itself has bags of personality, and is guaranteed to amuse and welcome you. Inside, clever carpentry has been deployed to create a cosy but comfortable living area, while the tiny-homes approach to design means that you can cook without compromise on the two-ring burner and electric oven. There is also a fridge for ingredients or beers, and a sink.
Start the day with a smile, as you wake on the super comfortable mattress and feel at peace in the light and airy interior. Step into the courtyard for an alfresco hot shower, with the chirping of wild birds replacing the usual cacophony of traffic and roadworks, and sit down with a cup of coffee to ease into your day of exploring Kent. No detail or amenity has been overlooked, from the wall mounted outdoor television positioned opposite the hot tub, to the cosy metal firepit, all within range of the Bluetooth speaker.
Eat inside or outdoors, and never worry about running out of hot water or firewood in this quirky and unique van conversion, where little splashes of creativity and artistry make all the difference, creating an accommodation option with real personality.
Gulliver is located just above the staggering Blean Woods National Nature Reserve, a truly remarkable wild space and must-see park for anyone with an interest in nature, birds, and the natural beauty of the unspoiled Kent landscape. You’re also less than ten minutes’ drive from Canterbury, a historic English cathedral city boasting UNESCO world heritage status, making this a great spot for couples looking to take in a range of sights and activities during a long weekend or even single night away. Blean itself, where the campervan is located, is one of the most unspoiled areas of ancient woodland in the UK, making it a dreamy are for forest hikes and other rambles.
