Think tree houses are for just for youngsters? Think again. Grown ups will love the peace, quiet and tranquillity at this beautiful little treehouse in Kent. The idyllic little house is perched on two tree trunks, over looks a wildlife park and is surrounded by countryside. The two of you will love the tree house's charming interior, with its eye catching stone fire place and carefully crafted wooden ceiling. There's so many thoughtful and little touches, such as the bathroom sink, made from a section of tree trunk and other beautifully hand crafted items.
Don't be fooled into thinking that staying in this place is all about rope ladders and roughing it- not here, not in the slightest! This treehouse is better kitted out than many places we've stayed in: underfloor heating means that the house stays toasty even without the help of the crackling wood burner. There's all the mod-cons, including a dishwasher and the living area is perfect for the two of you to curl up on the leather sofas and thumb through a good book or watch a DVD on the 70 inch surround sound home cinema system. The small but perfectly formed kitchen has everything you'll need to self cater (and will leave you envious of the bijou craftsmanship that has gone into it). There's a leafy deck on which to enjoy a romantic meal for two, but the best is yet to come: beneath the treehouse is a gorgeous hot tub. Whatever the weather, relax in here with a glass or two of your favourite tipple and feel any stress start to fade away...
The treehouse is perfectly placed to enjoy the best of what Kent has to offer. Nearby Whitstable is a thriving seaside town, famous for it's oysters and becoming known as a bit of a foodie heaven too. Have a wander along the beach, pop into one of the many quirky independent shops or take your pick from the abundance of restaurants and cafes. Historic Canterbury is also a short drive away. The obvious port of call is the magnificent Canterbury cathedral, but that isn't the only thing this beautiful city has to offer: winding streets, historical buildings, stunning architecture, great shops and some fantastic museums all help to make up Canterbury's arsenal of things that make you want to visit time and time again.
