This wonderful and serene nature reserve is situated away from the hustle and bustle of towns and cities, whilst remaining just one hour from London. Elmley Nature Reserve is a 3,300 acre estate with a spectacular landscape, giant skies and lovely wildlife all around. Couples, families and groups of friends who are looking to escape to the countryside can make the most of the variety of accommodation on offer.

There are six huts and two cabins on offer and natural beauty at every turn. Whether you’re in one of the modern dwellings with big windows offering breathtaking views, or one of the more rustic cosy cabins, you’re sure to feel at one with nature. Comfy living spaces, these cabins and huts feature wonderful beds and are all great for couples who are after a romantic rural retreat.

Relax and unwind in The Saltbox, The Ferrymans, and The Damson These bespoke huts have fully opening glass bifold doors allowing you to be even closer to nature. They also have supremely comfortable king sized beds and offer spectacular views of the astounding scenery.

Or you may prefer Little Owl or Samphire, both traditional shepherds huts with vintage chic design and a rustic, rural feel. Both have comfy beds and despite having no electricity, you can keep lovely and toasty thanks to their traditional wood burning stoves. You may wish to opt for Vanellus, which does have electricity, as well as a floor to ceiling window perfect for stargazing at night. There’s also a luxurious king sized bed inside as well as stylish reclaimed wooden floors and an en suite bathroom.

You can also hire two cabins, called Martha's Hut and The Roost. Martha's Hut has a fully glazed side for spectacular views and a fantastic deck with an outside bath where you can unwind in style whilst taking in your beautiful surroundings. The Roost also has an outdoor bath tub as well as a cosy log burner to keep you toasty and warm inside.

Guests can order meals to be delivered hot to their accommodation, including breakfast baskets, picnic lunches and delicious, wholesome supper hampers. Drinks can also be provided! You also have access to The Linhay, an old barn, that is a lovely rustic un-serviced space with comfy seating, games, books and a woodburner for guests to enjoy.

Elmley Nature Reserve is known for its spectacular scenery and the wide array of wildlife on display. Wander the grounds and take in the sights whilst gazing upon hundreds of species of birds, as well as hares darting around, owls swooping down and seals fishing in the river. These charming and comfortable huts are ideally placed to offer guests unrivalled access to all of this and more. There’s plenty to see and do in the area, meaning you can hop in your car and explore the pretty towns of Sheppey, Whitstable and Faversham. Keen ramblers can also head onto the Kent Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as some stunning beaches. Canterbury is also not too far and history buffs can visit the astounding Leeds Castle.
