Luxurious Somerset glamping site with super comfy bell tents and breathtaking views of your amazing surroundings.
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 3 nights
This luxurious glamping site sits on a huge Somerset farm and offers spectacular views of your stunning surroundings. Enjoy a peaceful, relaxing night's sleep in your beautiful bell tent, before waking up to the breathtaking scenery that's all around. With ten spacious bell tents, Gilcombe Glamping offers families, couples, and small groups of friends an idyllic, tranquil retreat in the country.
Each of the ten Lotus bell tents has been wonderfully decorated inside and finished with Moroccan touches throughout. They are all cosy and comfy, with each tent sleeping up to four guests with ease. Each tent makes use of one wooden framed double bed, which guarantees a great night's sleep, whilst the other two guests are provided with two single mattresses. However, these are optional, meaning that if you are arriving as a pair, you have more space inside your tent to spread out.
As well as being supremely comfy, and nice and cosy in winter, the tents are also nicely practical and completely off-grid. Each tent has its own camping kitchen, and BBQ, so dinner times are a joy. And you also have your own little slice of countryside right outside your tent where you can light up the fire pit and stay nice and toasty as you gaze up at the stars in the evening. You may wish to wander around the 300 acre organic farm on which you're staying, and if you do then be sure to visit the farm's own stone circle, which sits in the field next to your tent.
Guests have their own designated compost loo, which is allocated specifically to those staying in your tent for added privacy. And as the site is completely off-grid you also have access to a basic wooden shower block, as well as washing up and hand washing facilities. However, you still get lovely hot showers, so there's no need to worry about a having to tackle cold water in the morning or evening.
The owners love to encourage friends and family to get together safely, and group bookings are very welcome. They can also offer various activities and experiences, such as outdoor movies, BBQs and catering, yoga and star gazing. For the duration of your stay you can also visit the nearby Gilcombe Farm Shop. Here you can purchase great local produce, and there's also an organic butcher and a milk station were you can fill up on organic fresh milk direct from the farm. They are currently doing food box deliveries and would happily deliver orders to your tent.
Situated on the 300 acre organic farm just outside Bruton, the views are outstanding. Somerset is at its best in the Autumn with nature’s change of colours. Gilcombe Farm has a fantastic farm shop, with great local produce, an organic butcher and a milk station where you can fill up on organic fresh milk from the farm every day, as well as a coffee machine and local ales on tap.
You're located in the scenic county of Somerset and is just five minutes from the charming town of Bruton. Bruton has some lovely attractions including the Hauser and Wirth gallery, Alfred's Tower, and Stourhead Estate. You're also not farm from The Newt, which is a country estate with magnificent woodland and gardens.
