Welcome to Fair Rigg, a beautifully restored Lakeland villa housing four individually styled apartments – The Ruskin, The Wordsworth, The Wainwright and The Windermere Suites. Each apartment blends contemporary comfort with classic character, offering its own private entrance, stylish kitchen, luxurious bathroom and elegant living space.

Living areas feature LG Smart TVs with Netflix, plush sofas (including sofa beds in the larger suites) and stylish, contemporary furnishings – some with statement fireplaces, others with feature lighting and stunning lake vistas.

Whether you’re after a romantic escape or a group getaway, Fair Rigg delivers modern elegance, timeless style and all the home comforts you need – with the flexibility to book a single suite or the entire property for a truly unforgettable stay in the Lake District.

Up first is the Ruskin Suite – compact, stylish and effortlessly cool. Perfect for two, this chic studio is the smallest of our apartments, but it punches well above its weight in charm and design. Expect a seriously comfy king size bed, a sleek kitchenette with dining space and a fabulous ensuite complete with a walk-in rain shower and sustainable, plant-based toiletries from Bath House. Framed by tall sash windows, the suite boasts incredible views across the lake – your morning coffee spot just got an upgrade.

Next is the Wordsworth Suite is a stylish one-bedroom apartment with space for two adults and up to two children, thanks to a comfy sofa bed in the beautifully designed living area. With its own private entrance, you'll find a chic open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge space, kitted out with a Neff oven/microwave, induction hob, slimline dishwasher, Nespresso machine, and more. Contemporary furnishings, a gold sink and marble-style worktops give the space a luxe feel and the bathroom features Italian tiles, a walk-in rain shower and indulgent, plant-based toiletries from Bath House.

Third is The Wainwright Suite, a spacious ground-floor apartment with two beautifully styled bedrooms – one with a king size bed, the other boasting a luxurious super-king. A sofa bed in the elegant living area makes this space ideal for four adults and up to two children.

Step through your private entrance into the sleek kitchen, complete with Neff appliances, Nespresso machine and a marble-style worktop with gold sink. And the bathroom is finished with Italian tiles, a walk-in rain shower and plant-based toiletries from Bath House.

The last apartment is The Windermere Suite. This is a stunning three-bedroom duplex apartment, perfect for groups of up to six adults and two children. Set across two floors, this spacious hideaway combines luxurious touches with spectacular views over Lake Windermere.

Enter through the main vestibule and head upstairs to a beautifully designed kitchen and dining space, complete with Neff appliances, a gold sink, composite marble worktops and everything you need for laid-back feasting. The dining table seats eight, and a separate seating area with lake views is made for slow mornings. The stylish living room features a sofa bed (ideal for little ones), sophisticated decor and glowing feature lighting.

The show-stopper? A bathroom with a deep bath, Italian tiles and floor-to-ceiling lake views. Indulge with luxury plant-based toiletries from Bath House and soak up one of the best vistas in the Lakes.

You can also book all four apartments and make use of the whole of Fair Rigg, which offers luxurious living for larger groups – perfect for big family holidays, celebrations with friends or peaceful group retreats.

Sleeping 14–20 guests (plus pets!), Fair Rigg includes all four of our beautifully designed apartments – offering six stylish bedrooms and three additional sofa beds. With spacious shared areas, including a generous dining and living space in The Windermere Suite, it strikes the perfect balance between socialising and privacy.

Each apartment has its own private entrance, but as a full-house booking, you’ll have sole access to the entire property. There’s off-road parking for up to seven cars, plus two EV chargers.

When it comes to exploring your local area, there’s lots to see and do nearby. You’re a short walk from quaint Bowness-on-Windermere, where visitors will find plenty of cafes, restaurants, walking shops and independent stores selling picnic goodies. The welcoming Albert Pub comes well-recommended and is dog-friendly.
