Hidden away in the beautiful Dorset countryside, Eagle’s Nest is a Grade II listed, traditional thatched cottage, perfect for large families or groups of friends. This idyllic spot, about a mile from the nearest village, provides a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and gives you the chance to reconnect with friends, family and the outdoors.
The three bedrooms and the zip and link beds mean that this cottage can cater for all kinds of groups. You can choose between two singles or one super king size bed in each room, ensuring that everyone is comfortable. Two of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with showers and there is an additional bathroom with a bath and a power shower.
The living room is the ideal place to spend cosy evenings with everyone in front of the log burner. The large and open kitchen allows everyone to get involved with the cooking or to have a drink together while dinner is being prepared. If you prefer, you can take your meals outside thanks to the outdoor furniture and gas barbecue in the large private garden. This is the perfect place to soak up a bit of Dorset sunshine, with sun loungers, a hot tub and a trampoline to keep everyone entertained. There’s even a games room with table tennis and table football.
The cottage is located near the market town of Bridport and just over a mile from Symondsbury village. There’s plenty to do in and around the village, such as walking and biking, or exploring the shops and café in Manor Yard. An 8km trail takes you round the beautiful Symondsbury Estate, parts of which were built in the 1400s. Climb to the top of nearby Colmers Hill for a fantastic view of the estate, the surrounding countryside and out to the sea.
The cottage is very close to the stunning Jurassic Coast, just a ten-minute drive to the nearest beach in West Bay. This is the very end of the spectacular 18 mile stretch of beach known as Chesil Beach. Fans of the hit TV show Broadchurch might recognise the beautiful cliffs as many scenes were shot on location here.
