Daufuskie Loft apartment is a gorgeous, seafront studio overlooking the azure waters of the Intracoastal Waterway. Built into the eaves of a local wine and woodworks store, it offers a unique glimpse into life on island shores. Treasure long, summer days on your sun-kissed balcony, soaking up the stunning landscapes and the peaceful waterway.
Its interiors ooze with a laidback, provincial style and boast warm, natural shades and cosy furnishings. Golden sunlight floods into the lofty rafters and radiates against the honey-coloured floors and whitewashed timbers. Handmade ceramics add a personal touch and are joined by rustic wicker chairs and a farmhouse table. Relax on the comfy sofas or dine al-fresco, cooking a midday feast in the modern, country kitchen.
As night-time falls, your studio transforms into a sweet, couples den with a pull-down, retro bed. Leave the curtains open and fall asleep to starlit skies, waking in the morning to the atmospheric sunrise. A charming en-suite bathroom is on-hand for kick-starting your day and has piles of fluffy towels and a steaming hot shower.
Nestled beside Freeport Marina on Daufuskie’s wild ocean shores, the loft is well placed for those who love to explore. The preferred mode of transport is by electric golf cart so hire one for your stay and head out on touring days. Stop off to meet the friendly locals and understand the island’s vibrant arts scene, visiting the Iron Fish Art Gallery and Silver Dew Pottery studio. With your own private dock included with your stay, you can even bring your own boat or hire one out along the way. Enjoy a spot of fishing or search for romantic picnic spots, before relaxing in the evening at one of the local, seafood restaurants.
This Loft is on the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) with its own boat dock. At the end of the dock is a beautiful dining area overlooking the ICW.
