Whichever one of these three apartments you choose, they will provide the perfect base for enjoying all that Hay has to offer. Whether you’re here for the internationally renowned literary festival, want to explore the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons or fancy a trawl around the independent shops, you’ll find them all centrally located and stylishly furnished. Newly renovated to a high standard, the rooms are designed with the perfect blend of modern and traditional, think cosy rugs, soft sheepskins, warm Welsh blankets & plump cushions.
The fully equipped kitchens feature state-of-the-art appliances, high-quality equipment and an espresso coffee machine. Tea, locally ground coffee and sugar are provided, plus eco-friendly dishwasher tablets, washing powder and washing-up liquid so you won’t have to dash to the shops when you arrive. And if you don’t fancy cooking head downstairs to the Cosy Cafe for breakfast, coffee and cake, or a tasty lunch. Cosy Retreats guests can enjoy a discount!
Each lounge boasts comfy seating, a brand new smart TV and there’s a Bluetooth speaker to connect to and enjoy your favourite music. You’ll appreciate the welcoming comfort after a long day of exploring.
The Cosy Corner, which sleeps two, features a king size bed with a super comfy mattress topped with a contemporary Welsh blanket and stylish cushions. Use the oak wardrobe and drawers to pack away your clothes as you settle in for a relaxing break. As a bonus, you’ll have your own private garden with a wood-fired hot tub, perfect for steamy nights under the stars.
Cosy Retreats 1, which also sleeps two, boasts a stylish open-plan living space with a stunning view of the town from the private veranda. This is the perfect spot to people-watch, read a newly purchased book or just soak up the sunshine. This spacious bolthole also features a beautifully styled bedroom with a king size bed.
Cosy Retreats 2, which sleeps four, features a stylish open-plan living space with a stunning view of the town from the large picture windows. There’s a super-king size bed in the master bedroom plus the flexibility to split the second bedroom into a twin if required. As with the other apartments, the rooms are furnished with the perfect blend of modern and traditional and offer every home comfort.
As well as Hay’s famous bookshops, in the town itself there’s a wide array of shops plus an abundance of cafes, restaurants, pubs and a music venue. Hay is a fantastic base for outdoor adventures. Hugging the River Wye, and with a foot in both England and Wales, there’s a massive choice of things to do. Enjoy walking in the Brecon Beacons, biking through the Forest of Dean, or kayaking down the Wye. And if that all sounds too active, there are a range of fascinating places to visit and explore, reflecting the natural landscapes and heritage of the area.
