Behind it, Beinn Ceannabeinne rises up, completing a scene of extraordinary beauty in a place where sea and mountain meet.
Ceannabeinne Cottage is an idyllic retreat, steeped in history and recently refurbished for a perfect escape. Built around 1820 and once part of a small township, it is the only building that still remains, lovingly restored to retain its character while offering all the comfort you need.
Inside, you will love the calm interiors that invite you to relax and unwind in peace. Get comfy in the main room in front of the wood-burning stove as you enjoy a nice warm cuppa and stay toasty in front of the flames.
The delightful kitchen has original Caithness slate flooring and is nicely equipped with an Aga and all the other appliances you’ll need to prepare delicious feasts during your stay. And you can enjoy your meals at the dining table that sits in front of a big window that offers incredible sea views as you dine.
The king size bedroom is in the centre of this traditional longhouse, and offers a super-comfy bed with high quality pocket spring mattress and Egyptian cotton linen that all but guarantees a peaceful night’s sleep. The cottage is perfect for couples on a romantic break, however, there’s also a screened-off bunk area in the living room that offers extra sleeping space, making it a comfortable getaway for groups of three - or even four by arrangement. The recently renovated bathroom has a walk-in shower.
