The cottage is arranged around the ultra-social open plan kitchen and Iiving area, where whoever is preparing the evening meal using the high-end culinary amenities is part of the fun and games happening around the hearth. With hardwood floors, painted wood panels and an authentic stag’s horn chandelier overhead, this room really has it all.
Curl up on the sofa and watch a movie on the Smart TV with your loved ones, or sit around a board game as you chat and catch up long into the night having spent the day out exploring this green and picturesque stretch of Banffshire. Or, why not step outside and relax in the wood-fired hot tub, a truly luxurious way to unwind at the end of the day? You can also gather around the fire pit on the patio to socialise in the fresh country air, whilst you cook up a storm on the BBQ or fire up the pizza oven.
By night, retire to the ultra-comfortable beds in the spacious bedrooms, one of which even has its very own wood-burning stove. No detail has been overlooked in creating this luxurious, comfortable and charming holiday home.
The cottage itself is perched on the historic Mayen Estate in Banffshire, home to some of the most stunning and dramatic landscapes in Scotland. Days are spent hiking the pretty trails around the estate, stopping into the region’s brilliant country pubs, and either heading to the coast or into the snowy mountains, depending on the season and your mood. You’re well located to make the day trip to Aberdeen with its great restaurants, bars and shops, while the surrounding area has plenty of excellent eateries too. Whether you’re looking for a romantic walking holiday destination or you're after a quiet and beautiful family escape, the charms and amenities of Butlers Cottage are guaranteed to delight.
