Couples looking to escape to an idyllic countryside location whilst also enjoying the trappings of luxury accommodation will fall in love with Beacon Hill Hideaways. Bluegrass and Ryegrass are three self-catering shepherd’s huts that offer guests an idyllic glamping holiday in the Northumberland countryside. Situated in a south-facing wildflower meadow, these three huts have been built to a superb standard. Spacious and comfy, they have three rooms and westerly-facing terraces, the perfect place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee whilst gazing out at the view. Beautifully designed, both inside and out, these huts are extremely comfortable and won’t leave you wanting for anything.
Not only are the huts themselves super-comfy and filled with luxurious fittings, but guests can also take a short stroll down the wood chip path to the spa, where they have access to some wonderful facilities. The spa has a delightful swimming pool, jacuzzi, a gym, a sauna, a steam room and a range of treatments on offer from massages to facials and much more. Guests are also encouraged to explore the 360 acre estate on which these huts are located. There’s a 40 acre, semi-ancient beech wood, a beautiful lake and many walking routes right on your doorstep.
Each hut offers the same level of comfort and quality. The living areas are open plan with functional kitchens fitted with a combined microwave/oven as well as a halogen hob, a fridge and plenty of utensils to help you cook up some lovely locally sourced food. Step into your luxurious bedroom and enjoy a perfect night’s sleep in your super-comfy bed and awake to picturesque scenes out of your window. There’s also a TV in the bedroom for evenings in, a Bose bluetooth speaker for use with your own smartphone and the adjoining bathroom has a shower, flushing toilet and basin.
Thanks to the spa and the beautiful grounds, you’d be forgiven for never leaving. However, with so much to see and do in the area, guests are encouraged to venture out and explore Northumberland. Beacon Hill Hideaways sits in between Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland Coast, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So lovers of the great outdoors, really are spoiled for choice. There are also a range of pretty towns and villages that are well worth visiting including Berwick-upon-Tweed, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell, Craster, Alnmouth and Whitley Bay.
