  The Detail...

Dating back around 200 years, the grand Bank House sits in the White Peak area of the Derbyshire Dales and is a truly great escape. Located in the picturesque village of Winster, in the Peak District National Park, this marvellous holiday home is ideal for large groups.

With six spacious bedrooms, Bank House is the perfect place for family gatherings or a meet-up with friends. The property comfortably sleeps 12 adults, two children, and two infants under the age of two-years-old. There are large communal areas, including the drawing room with its wood burning stove and plasma screen TV, and also the TV room with its 60-inch screen, surround sound, and huge corner sofa.

Elsewhere is the large kitchen with an Aga, induction hob, two additional ovens, two dishwashers, and an American-style fridge/freezer. Also in this room is a dining room table and chairs seating up to 14 people, along with a wall mounted TV and audio system. A separate utility room houses the washing machine and dryer.

The bedrooms all differ in size and spec to ensure plenty of variation. There are three king size rooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom, as well as a super king with an en-suite. There is also a double room and finally the quad room, which can either be set up as four singles or a super king and two singles, depending on the specific requirements of your group. There is also a family bathroom with a shower and a family shower room.

Outside is the walled garden, which has plenty of seating areas and a barbecue so those staying can enjoy alfresco dining. There is croquet and other garden games to keep both young and old entertained.

When venturing out Winster itself is a charming village that is home to two pubs, a village shop, and a post office. For those who want to go a little further afield there is plenty to do, including the market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne, as well as hiking and cycle trails, kayaking, fishing, climbing, horse riding, and much more in the Peak District.
