  The Detail...

In the heart of West Wales, Alma Grange is an imposing Victorian house, painstakingly renovated to bring twenty first century comfort to a beautiful home. Perfectly located to explore the historic town of Cardigan and the undulating coast, Alma Grange is the ideal getaway for groups spending time in a luxurious house in a beautiful location.

From the moment you step into this grand, comfortable house, youll know that youve made the right decision. The house is designed around the kitchen, which bridges the established old house and the contemporary pavilion. A local craftsman has designed bespoke cabinets, and the hand painted tiles are a treat to behold. A large range cooker and induction stove plus an island preparation station complete this spacious room. Next door, the dining room has been subtly updated, combining a gorgeous mahogany dining table and chairs with authentic Victorian art and furnishings.

The property sleeps ten guests between the five exquisite bedrooms, four of which are found in the main house, with a fifth in the attached pavilion, ideal for guests looking for greater privacy. Each of the main bedrooms is characterised by antique furniture, high-end fittings, and views over Cardigan Bay, the houses grounds, or the Preseli Hills. Two of these rooms are set up with twin single beds, while the others benefit from king-size beds.

Guests will be pleased to find that even large groups can coexist happily in the house together without impinging on one anothers space. Between two living rooms, a childrens play area and a full cinema room, guests find that conversation, work and leisure can all take place simultaneously.

The garden is large and beautifully maintained. A spacious, safe treehouse is a guaranteed hit with youngsters, while there are a number of dreamy spots for adults to take in the light with a glass of wine. Part of the garden has been carved out for the stunningly designed terrace, with outdoor seating for the full compliment of guests, as well as a gorgeous pizza oven and large grill. Al fresco dining has never felt so luxurious as looking out towards the river Teifi.

No matter what your ideal holiday looks like, youre bound to find it between the town of Cardigan and the rugged coastline. Activities as eclectic as bouldering, traditional Welsh cooking, cathedral viewing and wild swimming can all be experienced in the region. Foodies will be pleased to find this is a culinary mecca; visit Pizzatipi in the former warehouses of Cardigans port for craft beer and pizza, or pop by the iconic Crwst for an unforgettable meal. While youre taking in Cardigan Castle, stay for a meal at the 1176 castle caf and restaurant.
