Soak up seductive sea views and scorching summer sunshine at this stunning villa on Spains secluded southern coastline. Nestled in the sleepy hamlet of Paloma Baja, just a four minute stroll from the sea, African View is a tranquil retreat. Wake to the sweet notes of birdsong and the lapping of the waves, before exploring some of Europes finest beaches and their secret caves. Gaze out over the Tarifa straits towards Moroccos colourful land, watching for crimson sunsets behind the pristine, white sands.

The peaceful villa is your private oasis, set in the heart of a flourishing nature reserve amongst lush pine forests. Its south-facing Mediterranean gardens look down to the sparkling sea, over the iconic banana plants and lilting palm trees. Discover sun-drenched patios and shaded verandas, beside alfresco dining areas complete with BBQ. There are sun loungers and day beds for relaxed summer days and a spectacular rooftop terrace looking down towards the sandy bay.

Beyond the richness of the gardens lies an authentic Spanish villa, which oozes a rustic simplicity and a down-to-earth charisma. Its bare tiles and uneven walls are beautifully unassuming, while its Moorish touches add an exotic flavour.

The main house includes a large open-plan living area which has a fully-equipped kitchen overlooking a cosy lounge and dining area. Theres a wood-burning stove for those cool winter evenings and feature arched windows where you can marvel at the sensational sea vistas. Doors lead off to a master double and a comfortable twin bedroom, both of which share a modern family bathroom.

A neighbouring annexe sleeps an additional two people and has a lovely twin bedroom and an en-suite bathroom. A small kitchenette makes it perfect for couples, while a wood-burning stove makes it toasty in the winter. An extra bed or baby cot can even be set up in here as required, making the villa suitable for up to six adults and one young child.

Paloma Baja is a gorgeous little hamlet with a handful of villas scattered above the ocean. Its Mediterranean climate boasts over 300 days of sunshine per year and enjoys pleasant summers and mild winters. While away your days in sublime, sandy coves, or head out and explore the great outdoors. Try windsurfing or snorkelling or a spot of deep sea diving or rock climbing, horse riding or a day mountain trekking.

For a more relaxed day, the ancient fortress town of Tarifa is just 14kms away and has a vibrant atmosphere with vivid displays. Explore its maze of cobbled streets and bustling, seafood markets and its interesting history and fascinating architecture. Head back into the hills to uncover whitewashed villages, including Castillo de Castillar de la Frontera and Medina Sidonia and Vejer. You can even head off to visit Gibraltar or the city of Tangiers, experiencing the famous Barbary Macaques monkeys and Moroccan flair.
