Right on the coast this property combines traditional style with modern living, with whitewash walls and terracotta flooring throughout. Each of the five rooms also has air conditioning, heating and WiFi.
The rooms are all doubles with beautiful furnishings and decoration and come equipped with a flat screen TV. There is also an en suite bathroom in each with a bath and shower. Sitting alone on a secluded road Moinho das Mares also has stunning views across the sea or over the garden.
Outside there is a large sun terrace to enjoy the afternoon rays or an evening cocktail on and some of the rooms also have their own private balconies and terraces. There is also free car parking for guests.
For some traditional Portuguese cuisine there is the tapas bar Mo de cima on site, which offers regional specialities and a range of cocktails.
Just an 11-minute walk away from the guest house and visitors can find themselves on the beach. There are several amazing beaches in the area that are worth visiting, including the Island of Tavira, Barril Beach, Terra Estreita Beach and Culatra Island - which are full of restaurants and cafes and great for watersports or boat trips.
Some say that being in Fuseta is like stepping back in time, with a real community feel in the village where everyone seems to know everyone. Grab coffee or a Pasteis De Nata (a Portuguese custard tart) in the square and take in the beautiful architecture or watch the world go by. There are also several wonderful restaurants serving delicious food, particularly fish, with the traditional Cataplana a must for anyone visiting the area.
Those interested in history and culture can head up into the mountains and visit the Palace of Estoi, which was built in the 19th Century and offers stunning views across the Algarve. Or there are the Milreu Ruins, the remains of a Roman settlement and an important archaeological site.
