Aldfield, North Yorkshire
Collection of high-end yurts with, private outside hot tubs, set within the beautiful Yorkshire dales.
Yurtshire is managed by Bev
On the fringes of one of the most dramatic and stunning areas of England, the Yorkshire Dales, Yurtshire is a collection of six yurts, each of which comes with its own private amenities, making it the perfect way to explore the Northeast in style. In the heart of the pristine and unspoiled Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Yurtshire offers ramblers, explorers, shoppers and history buffs the opportunity to stay in rustic-chic yurts replete with their own bathing, cooking and relaxing facilities.
Each yurt is suitable for up to five guests, and comes fully furnished with a double bed, double futon and single futon, which are made up with high quality bedlinen prior to your arrival. Rather than trudging down to the shower and cooking blocks, cook up a storm and have a leisurely hot shower in the comfort of your very own yurt, all of which have their own internal kitchens and private bathroom facilities. All of the cutlery, crockery, toiletries and furniture that you could need are provided for free for the duration of your stay, right down to the gas for your cooker’s two ring burner.
Outside each yurt you’ll find your very own barbecue, fire pit, wooden decking and even hot tub. This means Yurtshire is a great place to take in the long evening light of Yorkshire. Spend hours either grilling some local meat, drinking a glass of wine as the sun sets, or sitting around the firepit with your nearest and dearest, shooting the breeze after a long day hiking through the national park.
Set back form the drone and pollution of the big city, there is a certain undeniable magic to Yurtshire, with its convivial atmosphere of relaxation, woodsmoke, laughter, and some of the best sleep you’ll ever experience.
Yurtshire is perfectly located for those who want to spend their time away up in the peaks and ridges of the national park, rather than getting stuck in traffic, waiting for buses, or searching for parking spot. Positioned right in Nidderdale, you’re a hop skip and a jump from some of the finest footpaths and hills in Yorkshire.
It’s also worth bearing in mind the brilliant country pubs and local eateries within close proximity, from the quaint and authentic Bruce Arms in West Tanfield to the swanky Boars Head in Ripley. Check out Mario's Restaurant 27 in Ripon, and the majestic Sawley Arms is also well worth a look in. Guests with an interest in history and culture will be delighted by the abundance and proximity of stately homes, local museums and well-preserved architecture. Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal is particularly worth investigating and nearby Harrogate Spa Town has something to offer everybody.
