The details

You can embrace the simple pleasure of the great outdoors at any of The Wensleydale Experience’s wonderfully situated yurts. Enjoying some of the most stunning views you’ll find in the county, these Yorkshire yurts are located on the beautiful Berry’s Farm.

With gorgeous views of the Yorkshire Dales, each of the four yurts at The Wensleydale Experience offer some special luxury touches. There’s a private hot tub outside each one, as well as a barbecue and a dining area on the deck.

A variety of positions on the farm mean you can choose the view and level of privacy you want. The secluded Larch Yurt is in a woodland location, while the central Elder Yurt has plenty of farm animals for company nearby. At the highest altitude of all the yurts, Rowan Yurt gives you an impressive view of Wensleydale out to Bolton Castle. Hazel Yurt sits in its own private enclosure, with a view up to Pen Hill, and feels very secluded.

Each yurt has been carefully styled inside, with a large double bed dressed with high-quality linens for a supremely sumptuous sleep. Additional double and single futons will accommodate another three guests. You have a wooden floor, seating area and kitchen unit, as well as a wood-burner to keep you warm and cosy. There is also a private shower and toilet. The deck area outside makes a lovely place to chill out with a glass of wine and take in the surroundings.

The Berry’s Farm Shop and Café is conveniently close by, and offers a tempting array of breakfast and lunch dishes, many with a local flavour. A hearty Farmer’s Breakfast will certainly set you up for a day’s walking.
