Get back to nature at Wolf Wood Treehouses, located on a 13-acre area of woodland in the heart of Devon. These amazing structures are at one with their environment, having been constructed using timber sourced less than 30 miles away and built lovingly by the owners using traditional rope and pulley techniques.
There are currently three treehouses, each with their own secluded spot up in the canopy, to choose from - Black Wolf, Stargazer, and The Lookout. Even getting to Black Wolf Treehouse is an adventure, with guests crossing a roped bridge on their way to the house. Inside is a huge space with light flooding in from the wall-to-wall windows and bi-fold doors, and an open-plan living area complete with the king size bed looking across the treetops.
There's also a bunk room with two beds for the children, while comfy furniture, a woodburner, board games, and books make for a cosy night in. The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare culinary delights. The bi-fold doors lead out to a large deck which comes with its own hot tub bath to lay back and relax in while taking in the beautiful views.
Stargazer Treehouse is the perfect couple's getaway, with its pitch pine lined walls and floor making it feel like a Scandinavian summerhouse. It also has a fully equipped kitchen, living area, and bed - with an extra shelf bed accessed by a ladder if children are joining. There's a roll top bath inside and side-by-side bath on the deck outside to ensure ultimate relaxation.
The Lookout is accessed across a rope bridge high amongst the tree canopy, where you can enjoy the view of Dartmoor before entering the large, light-filled space. This charming treehouse has been hand-crafted from a combination of locally grown and reclaimed timber. The wood lined floor and walls add to the treehouse feel, whilst the giant window and bi-fold door let the outside in. You can step out onto your own large deck to take full advantage of this spectacular treetop location. You also have comfy furnishings inside, as well as a wood burning stove to keep you cosy all-year-round. And for added luxury, guests staying at The Lookout can also make use of their own private jacuzzi that looks out over the canopy. All of this, plus a fully functional kitchen, comfy beds, and a bunk room for the kids, ensure you're guaranteed a marvellous stay.
Luxury really does meet the wilderness and guests are free to explore the woodland in this hidden valley north of Dartmoor. Meander along the footpaths or by the river, keeping an eye out for the abundance of plants and wildlife, and discover the barbecue and picnic areas dotted around. Go a little further afield and soon be on the beaches of North Cornwall, climbing a tor on the moors, or enjoying a pub lunch.
