Traditional townhouse with a beautifully designed, contemporary interior in the heart of Inverness for a unique city break.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 7 nights high season
The Whisky Townhouse is located in the very heart of Inverness, just 500 meters from the castle. The unique, atmospheric interior has been carefully decorated, with moody tones and contemporary fittings giving this traditional townhouse a modern twist. The natural colours and wood detailing throughout, combined with the occasional subtle tartan give this stylish house a wonderfully Scottish feel that is warm and welcoming.
The elegant living room has been furnished in darker tones, creating a cosy atmosphere that doesn’t detract from the grandeur of the house’s original features, such as the intricate cornicing or the fireplace. There are beautiful views over the north of the city from this room, and you'll find plenty of games for evenings in and a smart TV for movie nights. The kitchen and dining area is a sociable space featuring a lovely dining table that can be transformed into a pool table. You’ll find it fully equipped for a self-catering holiday with all the utensils and equipment you could need in the newly fitted kitchen.
There are three bedrooms in the property, one king-size ensuite, a second king-size double and a twin room at the top of the house. The bedrooms have all been as thoughtfully decorated as the rest of the house, in natural tones and with warm lighting, creating relaxing spaces. There are also three bathrooms, one on each floor.
The house is located in the popular ‘Crown’ area of Inverness, just a five-minute walk from the town centre and the train station. The city is the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands with plenty of interesting places to discover right on your doorstep. See the city from above by climbing Inverness Castle’s tower, wander through the Victorian Market or cross the suspension bridges to the islands in the middle of the River Ness. Learn more about Scotland at the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery or go for a tour of the Tomatin Whisky Distillery. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat with a wide range of cafes and restaurants just minutes away on foot. There’s The Mustard Seed restaurant on the banks of the river in a converted church serving up the finest Scottish ingredients or there’s the Fig and Thistle, a popular bistro, both within 10 minutes walk.
