  The Detail...

Perched high on a verdant hill just outside the popular town of Lucca sits Villa I Pinoni, an architecturally extraordinary house subtly updated to marry contemporary high-end luxury with authentic Tuscan beauty. Boasting seven bedrooms in a configuration which will cater for almost any combination of families, couples, and friends, Villa I Pinoni is a truly magical escape which will stay with you for a lifetime.

The central living space of the villa is an extraordinary double-height living room, with the original terracotta tile flooring, and exposed timber beams crowning a uniquely breath-taking area. A large stone staircase leads up to a surrounding gallery which provides access to the first floor bedrooms, with walls that are decorated with fine Italian paintings and art objects.

The bedrooms are arranged over the first and second floors; three bedrooms with twin beds are found on the first floor, two with en suite bathrooms, and one sharing a bathroom with one of the two double bedrooms. Upstairs, the second floor is divided into a studio space with a double sofa bed and impressive marble fireplace, and the master bedroom, which enjoys views over the forests, and a private bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. Downstairs, the latest in high-end appliances, finished in stainless steel, have been used to update the original villa kitchen. Throughout the interior, beautiful aged timber ceilings complete the feel of rustic authenticity.

The expansive gardens of the villa have been arranged over multiple terraces, in the custom of this area. Stepping out from the first floor of the villa, youll find a stunning loggia, with a gently shaded dining area. A level up from this space, a pathway leads from the large, private swimming pool to a tranquil tree-shaded viewing platform, the perfect space to take in the sweeping views reaching all the way to the Apuan Alps. An English lawn completes the configuration, with aromatic plants and citrus trees, and a variety of creeping vines, as well as a greenhouse.

While many guests will be reluctant to leave the beauty and comfort of this extraordinary secluded villa, the well-preserved city of Lucca is just a few kilometres away. Lucca is renowned for its intact 16th Century city walls, which draw enthusiasts and tourists from all over Europe. There are also a number of restaurants, bars, and cafs to enjoy world-famous Tuscan cuisine and local wines.
