Surrounded by the stunning countryside of Mid Wales, this stylish cabin is the perfect spot for a couple looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Two sets of French doors can be opened up onto the patio to help you make the most of the surroundings and a hot tub and an outdoor bath will help you relax. After a day exploring the Elan Valley, enjoy an alfresco dinner and then sit by the fire pit late into the evening and stargaze in the spectacular dark skies.
The cabin feels contemporary and spacious with an open-plan interior flooded with natural light through the big doors out onto the patio. The fully equipped kitchen is to the rear of the space with everything you’ll need to whip up anything from quick breakfasts to hearty post-hike dinners. There’s a comfy sofa in front of one set of French doors where you can enjoy a cup of tea in the morning or put your feet up and enjoy a film on the TV in the evening.
The bedroom area is to the other side of the cabin in front of the other set of French doors. Here, you’ll find a luxurious king size bed and an armchair with a footstool, creating a cosy reading nook in front of the window. The bathroom has an electric shower if you don’t fancy a dip in the bath out on the patio.
There’s a generous space outside that is fenced along one side, providing plenty of privacy for the bath and the hot tub. You’ll also find some outdoor furniture so you can enjoy your meals alfresco overlooking the Radnorshire countryside. In the evenings, get the fire pit going and toast some marshmallows as you do some stargazing and plan tomorrow’s adventures.
The cabin is located close to the bustling market town of Rhayader where you’ll find friendly pubs and some independent shops. Head out to the Elan Valley to walk along the trails past reservoirs and spectacular waterfalls. Gilfach Nature Reserve is a must for any wildlife enthusiasts where you’ll be in with a chance of spotting red kites and otters. You’ll also be able to see red kites up close at the Rhayader Red Kite Feeding Station.
