Tucked away in a quiet corner of the Welsh countryside, Quabbs Cabin offers a true sanctuary of peace and privacy. Thoughtfully positioned for maximum seclusion, every window looks out onto a different, captivating view - from rolling hills and ancient ridges to flower-dotted meadows and wandering horses. Whether you're here to reconnect with nature or each other, this little cabin for two is designed to help you relax and unwind in style.
Follow the winding path through a leafy orchard until the cabin comes into view - its wooden frame gently emerging from the trees. Climb the steps and onto the wraparound porch, which offers a delightful spot to sit with a morning coffee and take in your surroundings. Then, step inside, and you’ll find that Quabbs offers a warm blend of rustic craftsmanship and quiet luxury. Vaulted ceilings with hand-hewn beams frame the open living space, while a soft, squashy sofa sits ready beside the flickering log burner - perfect for an afternoon reading or an evening chatting with your loved one.
If you’re after true indulgence, then you have a few options at your fingertips. There’s a superb free-standing copper bath that promises deep relaxation, allowing you to unwind in the bubbles with a glass of something delicious to accompany you. Or, if you fancy heading outside, the hot tub allows you to stargaze in style with your loved one whilst taking in the surrounding scenery. You also have fluffy towels, monogrammed robes, and handmade, sustainable toiletries to use throughout your stay.
Also outside, you’ll find hammocks for lazy mornings and sprawling grass for afternoon picnics. There’s also a firepit with some chairs, where you can enjoy an evening tipple watching golden sunsets that stretch over Graig Hill and Rhos Hill. In winter, the view opens up even more, revealing Offa’s Dyke tracing its ancient path along the distant ridge.
Back inside, the kitchen is fully equipped for slow breakfasts and evening feasts alike, whether you’re frying up eggs from the farm shop or opening a bottle to enjoy on the porch. There’s also a BBQ out on the deck, should you wish to grill up some delicious local produce.
When night falls, the bedroom has a handcrafted bed dressed in pure linen that faces southwest, offering views across Quabbs Meadow. Every element here has been chosen with care to ensure you enjoy a perfect night’s sleep.
If you wish to venture out and explore, the area around Knighton, Powys is a haven for outdoor lovers, offering a rich mix of walking and cycling routes.
