Situated in private woodland on a farm in West Wales, The Yurt Hideaway is a totally exclusive romantic retreat. With room for two (and a well behaved dog) you can enjoy peace and tranquility to your heart’s content. With its own wood burner, hot tub and private Shepherd's hut bathroom, you get to experience nature at its most luxurious. And, as its open all year round, you can choose from dozing in the dappled summer sunshine to cosying up in front of the wood burning stove - either way it promises to be a rather idyllic getaway.
Head down your own private pathway to discover your encampment, beautifully positioned in a glade within a beech, ash and oak wood. With your own private woodland plot you're guaranteed a tranquil stay, so make yourself at home.
Inside the yurt there’s all you need for a comfortable stay, with a fully equipped kitchen, wood burning stove and a bijou dining area for two. The beautiful handcrafted oak king size bed is handsomely made up with cosy bed linen and Welsh woollen blankets. The attention to detail really sets this yurt apart - with its gorgeous wooden floor, repurposed furniture and stylish natural textiles. The owners even provide cosy dressing gowns, towels and unlimited firewood.
The fully-equipped kitchen area is small but perfectly formed. All the expected items are there, from pots and pans to crockery. It’s the unexpected that makes it all the more delightful - from a Belfast sink, integrated double hob and fridge to hot and cold running water. The yurt is also fully serviced by electricity, so there will be no need for candlelit evenings - unless you decide on one with dinner of course.
The outside area is just as stunning with an electric hot-tub, large fire pit area and pizza oven. So, whether you decide on champagne in the hot tub, al-fresco dinner for two or a spot of late-night marshmallow toasting, there’s plenty to keep the romance going. The cherry on the top has to be the solar-powered shepherd’s hut bathroom that comes complete with a Riven slate floor, oak barrel toilet and large walk-in shower.
One of the best things about staying at The Yurt Hideaway is knowing that every booking helps to support the incredible work of the Fisherman's Rest Charity, an education non-profit in Malawi which the owners work closely with. For more information, visit www.fromwales.com or speak to your hosts.
You’d be totally forgiven for not wanting to leave your own little slice of heaven, but if exploring does peak your interest then there’s plenty to do in the local area - starting with plentiful walks from the door (the owners have very helpfully provided information on the best ones!). Located wonderfully between Pembrokeshire’s stunning coastline and Carmarthenshire’s castles, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to day trips. And for those wanting a great day out by the sea, you’d be hard pushed to better Tenby - with its pretty pastel houses, medieval streets and plentiful pubs, it’s an absolute must.

Leave a reviewOur second time staying here. Never have I felt so relaxed and rested. This is the most divine place to stay and I can not fault it. Completely away from everyone and anyone. Comfy bed, wood burner, kitchen. We read and played board games, chopped wood, made fires, relaxed and switched off from our busy lives. The owners are responsive and kind but you don’t see them, they are respectful of the precious moments spent at the yurt. Words can not describe just how wonderful this place is.

A beautiful stay here. Weather was great but the surroundings and everything the yurt offers is fabulous!! Could not fault it one bit. Lots of places to visit n the owners can give you a list as long as your arm. Allowing our dog along for the ride made it even more perfect. Prefect setting, peaceful and relaxing. Would highly recommend n would def visit again

We spent 4 glorious nights at this woodland retreat and what a treat it was. The yurt was spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you need. The shepherds hut was a delightful bathroom and the hot tub was perfect after a ramble through the woods, a trip to the beach or after cooking on the camp fire or pizza oven. The games supplied were a fun addition and looking out for the animals placed on the woodland walk added a further layer of fun. Thank you for being such great hosts.

We have just had a wonderful four nights at the Hideaway Yurt. Couldn't have asked for better weather, it rained a little on arrival but was sunshine all the way after that. The shepherds hut bathroom was a real treat, including the composting toilet as was the yurt itself. Very comfy bed. We used the firepit and the pizza oven. The hot tub was great too. So very relaxing just sitting playing board games and reading in the peace and quiet. Watching the sun set and listening to the cows. A visit to Wiseman's beach is well worth it. We walked along to Saundersfoot and then back to Amroth along the beach. Then back from Amroth to Wiseman's along the coastal path.
