Off-grid living does not get more cutting edge than these stunning conkers near Builth-Wells in Powys. Designed by aerospace engineer, Jag Vardie of Conker Living, you know you’re staying in the Rolls Royce of sustainable living (well he has worked there, along with Bentley Motors and Lotus Cars).
Reflecting the magical landscape that surrounds them, these state-of-the-art structures blend seamlessly into the Welsh countryside. Built to withstand all weather - plus a clever heating system - you can stay in one of these pods any time of year. And, as you’re a ten minute walk from any mobile signal, you are guaranteed unrivalled tranquility in the utterly enthralling Welsh landscape.
Step inside the pod to discover bright white hexagons that form the inner shell of this modular monocoque structure (with aerospace technology you have to expect a bit of technical lingo). Add lovely round windows to this and you have a fabulously bright and airy interior (with maybe just a dash of the sci-fi about it). Sleeping two on a meticulously designed bed, complete with a luxury mattress, you’ll discover it’s also the ultimate in comfort. And a dynamic heating system will see that you are cosy in your conker all year round.
Outside you have the joy of marvelling at the beauty of the conker’s structure that reflects the landscape around it in a gloriously warm golden hue - it’s a spellbinding feat of engineering. Enjoyed our weekend stay at the conker. Lovely, secluded spot in a beautiful part of the Welsh countryside. Views and the starry, night sky are amazing. The conker was comfortable, peaceful and a great place to relax and get away from it all. However, please note that there is no fridge freezer as stated in the description.

Can't recommend this highly enough. A surprise for my husband's birthday, and it was wild and wonderful! The stormy weather didn't dent our enjoyment of the firepit and the stunning scenery. Climbed to the top behind the Conker, and the views were breathtaking. And then we could cosy up in the comfort of the conker itself. The pizza oven is a great touch! Easy to use too. We will be back. Storm Dennis did his best but we just loved it even more.The perfect way to take a break from everyday life. Thank you so much xx
