One for romantics - this beautiful Mongolian Yurt boasts luxury glamping, a private hot tub and peace and tranquility close to the spectacular North Devon coast. It is impeccably styled with beautiful furnishings, a luxurious king size bed, wood burner and spectacular toono window.
Guests wander up the willow tree-lined gravel path to the entrance of this magical yurt. Situated on 15 acres of countryside, it is a private haven of peace and tranquility where visitors can marvel at the stillness and the sounds of nature.
Step on to the wooden deck where days can be whiled-away cooking dinners over the fire pit, sipping wine and catching up on reading. Enter the interior and be wowed by the spectacular hand painted furniture, comfy armchairs and soft rugs which surround the opulent double bed. A wonderful toono window lies in the centre of the yurt's roof letting in light and sky views.
Nod off to sleep cosseted in high quality bedding, staring at the stars and wake to sunlight caressing the face and the sound of the birds beginning their day. Take time to rise before wandering out onto the private deck for some yoga or a morning coffee at the bench.
Solar lights line the pathways around the yurt and, along with the pretty wicker lanterns, create ambient lighting on summer evenings. They lead the way to the beautiful hot tub area where guests can truly unwind in the bubbling waters. After emerging from the tub, continue the chilled vibes with drinks under the candlelit wooden canopy.
Whittlers Yurt is full of special touches, from the ironworks to the kitchen made from repurposed wardrobes. It also has its own private bathroom with shower which can be found a few steps from the Yurt.
With access to the owner's lake, 15 acres of countryside and a treetop sauna, guests could easily enjoy their stay without straying off site but there is much to discover in the local area.
Head to Sandhills beach for sea dipping, sun bathing and seafood munching at The Glorious Oyster, while The Farmers Arms in the local village is highly-recommended for its great food and friendly welcome.
