Nestled in the rolling hills of the Yorkshire countryside, The Shed provides luxury accommodation for up to eleven guests. This stunning self-catering holiday home, with spectacular views of the Colne Valley, was built with the environment in mind. From the sustainably sourced timber which makes up the frame to the recycled furnishings and top-of-the-range insulation, every effort has been made to provide an eco-friendly experience that doesn’t compromise on comfort.
The modern kitchen features a breakfast bar and a bespoke ash dining table perfectly positioned in front of the floor to ceiling windows. A double-sided wood-burning stove keeping the dining area warm on one side and there's a cosy lounge on the other. Huge sofas provide plenty of comfy seating for everyone and a stunning feature wall displays bespoke artwork in the lounge. There’s a concealed wall-mounted TV for entertainment or you could just enjoy the spectacular view through more floor to ceiling windows. While these rooms are great social spaces, perfect for entertaining, a small snug is tucked away in the corner of The Shed. You can sneak off here for a bit of peace and quiet with a book and this room also doubles as the fifth bedroom.
There are four other bedrooms, beautifully furnished in an eclectic contemporary style. Each of the rooms is named after one of the local reservoirs and has its own character. There are two super-king rooms, one twin and one room with a triple bunk. A further two guests can be accommodated in the snug. One of the super-king bedrooms has and en suite bathroom for added privacy, and then there are two other shared bathrooms in the property. The three bathrooms are also impeccably furnished and there’s even a free-standing bathtub waiting to help you relax after a long day exploring.
There’s a large private outdoor space including a south-facing decked area with a large table and chairs for alfresco dinners and sofas where you can relax in the sunshine. There’s also a BBQ, fire pit, table tennis table and a trampoline.
If you can tear yourself away from this beautiful home-from-home, there’s plenty to explore in the local area. You’ll find lots to do, see and eat right on your doorstep. There are many walking routes and cycle trails that can be accessed directly from The Shed and these offer a great chance to see more of the spectacular landscape. Should you fancy a more metropolitan excursion, the bustling cities of Leeds and Manchester are just 30 minutes away by train. There are also countless places to eat and drink nearby, from cosy cafes and bakeries to the grand Manor House in Lindley to some good old traditional pub food at the Rose and Crown. Everyone will be well catered for.
