The Details...

Revel in stunning views across the vale of York and enjoy life in the slow lane in one of these four luxuriously appointed Geodesic domes located on The Private Hill at Thrussendale Farm. These wonderfully domed romantic boltholes give you a hotel standard of comfort - whilst still delivering up a slice of adventure. With panoramic views, log burning stoves and sumptuously dressed superking beds, you get the best of both worlds.

The Geodesic domes are beautifully styled inside, with relaxed interiors that wouldnt look out of place in a boutique hotel. And as the owners really pride themselves on their impeccable service, the hotel treatment is definitely not just skin deep. The superking doubles (which can be set up as twins if requested) are dressed in crisp white linen and rich, colourful textiles. Whilst lavish seating areas, sheepskin rugs and handsome wood burning stoves really add an opulent edge. And with a sofa, plush armchairs and a dining table, there are plenty of places to sit back and enjoy the view.

For all your simple cooking needs there is a small kitchenette with a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster and Miele microwave. And to keep things suitably boutique, theres also a minifridge bar. Theres also a chance to buy Aberdeen Angus steaks directly from the farm, or your can opt for a freshly prepared breakfast, lunch or evening BBQ boxes. Championing top quality ingredients and leaving you with even more time to relax.

Cleverly housed inside the dome is a private ensuite bathroom with wonderfully hot showers and flushing toilets. And of course, luxury toiletries and fluffy towels come as standard.

Outside is a pretty decked area complete with a private fire pit/BBQ and comfortable furniture. And as always, its the striking view that cannot help but take centre stage. Pour yourself a glass, light the fire and enjoy some serious relaxation.

Onsite there is a delightfully domed cafe serving up freshly brewed coffee, cakes and sandwiches. Its a gorgeous space any time of year with a large sunny decked terrace or cosy interior (complete with wood burning stove).

The location is picture-perfect. You are welcome to explore the farm, or head out on bike or foot to discover the local area. For those taking it easy, youre within easy striking distance of the lovely market town of Malton. Heralded as Yorkshires food capital, there are more delis, artisan shops and restaurants than you can shake a stick at. You can even take a food tour - and if youre lucky, youll catch the towns monthly food market. Once youre full, then there is plenty of Georgian architecture to marvel at and beautiful vintage shops to delve into.
