Having been lovingly decorated to enhance its original features, the whole house is adorned with original paintings and fine art prints throughout. The light-filled kitchen has a rustic feel, but is full of practical modern appliances including a gas oven and hob, integrated fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a microwave for whipping up a light lunch before heading out to explore everything the historic old town has to offer.
The lounge is surprisingly large yet cosy, with an array of hand-picked furniture, a stylish wood-burner, comfy sofa and a stunning chaise lounge. Relax and enjoy the quirky and carefully curated items of decor that make this calm and atmospheric living space.
When night falls, and you have retuned home from enjoying one of the many great local restaurants and cafes serving locally sourced fine produce, the beautiful bedroom awaits. With original beams across the vaulted ceiling, antique furnishings and soft white cotton bedding, you are guaranteed a great night's sleep in this light and airy kingsize bedroom. There is also a charming en-suite just bedside the bedroom to save late night trips and down the stairs.
The bathroom is a haven of peace and tranquility, and offers just as much charm as the rest of the house. The antique mirror-lined walls create a timeless feeling, while the bath is perfect for unwinding after a long day out on the Brecon Beacons. There is also a shower, and as you expect from a house of this caliber, soft fluffy towels, high quality toiletries and a hairdryer are provided for your convenience too.
If you can pull yourself away from this cosy abode, the town of Hay-on-Wye offers plenty to see and do, all right outside your front door. Explore a world of bookshops, vintage markets and independent retailers, or head further afield to visit the Brecon Beacons or take a walk along the River Wye.
