The Old Roller Shed is a fantastic romantic retreat set in the wonderful village of Cartmel in the Lake District. The open plan living and kitchen area is stunning, with a floating metal and oak staircase and a glorious feature light fitting taking centre stage. With underfloor heating throughout and plenty of light flooding in through the bi-fold doors, it’s a breathtaking space.
The kitchen is ultra-modern with high gloss units and a large breakfast bar - perfect for musing over the day's activities with your morning cup of tea. With an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, you’ve got everything you need to cook up some delightful meals for two. And there’s no need to worry about the washing up as there’s also a dishwasher.
The stylish lounge features a comfortable L-shaped sofa, fabulously bright textiles and impressive bi-fold doors. You’re not short on any mod-cons either with a Smart TV, Bluetooth iPod dock and remote controlled blinds. Step outside to the sweet seating area - the perfect place to share a bottle of something fizzy whilst taking in the glorious views.
The striking floating staircase leads up to the mezzanine floor master bedroom. With a king size upholstered bed, soft white linen and a pretty window taking in delightful rural views over to Cartmel Priory, it’s wonderfully romantic.
The bathroom is as sleek as you’d imagine with a large walk-in monsoon shower, stylish hand basin and plenty of fluffy white towels.
Located in the village of Cartmel you are in a superb location for your romantic break. With a Michelin star restaurant, L’Enclume, a wine and cocktail bar at Unsworth’s Yard, a cheese shop, bakery and plenty of pubs you won’t be at a loss to find places to indulge. Add to this a gorgeous homewares store, artisan chocolate shop and a monthly food market. If you fancy going further afield then you also have the delights of the Lake District on your doorstep with Lake Windermere being just 15 minutes up the road.
