The Details...

Take a step back in time at The Old Church House, a converted Victorian church that perfectly blends the charm and tradition of the building with modern living. Located close to the Welsh border in the market town of Oswestry in Shropshire, this settlement is one of the oldest in England and dates back 3000 years.

The holiday home sleeps eight people across three bedrooms, with guests first entering through the large wooden church door and into the hallway. This then leads into the hub of the house - the enormous open plan living area is complete with large vaulted ceilings, custom made arched windows, country views, oak beams, and stone archways. In here comfy sofas and armchairs sit around the large flat screen TV, meaning you can enjoy comfy movie nights in with friends and family.

Guests can also enjoy social dinners around the long wooden dining table, that have been lovingly cooked in the stunning, fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is complete with its island that houses both the oven and acts as a breakfast bar for your morning coffee. There's also a utility room with washer and dryer.

Follow the hallway down the house to discover the bedrooms, each coming with an en suite bathroom. The largest of the bedrooms has two single beds and a bunk bed, while there is a further double bedroom on the ground level. Upstairs is the master suite, which has a beautifully decorated further sitting area and a king size bedroom - as well as a freestanding stone bath. The wonderful bedding on offer is Egyptian cotton and the property has underfloor heating throughout for added comfort.

The property is also surrounded by pretty gardens and there's plenty of parking space. Guests are advised to go for a leisurely walk into the nearby town of Oswestry. This spot is perfect for history lovers, and also has plenty of cafes and independently run shops making it very vibrant on market days.

The Welsh border is just five miles away with some stunning scenery nearby such as the spectacular Lake Vyrnwy near the village of Llanwddyn. For those who want a little more going on, the hustle and bustle of Chester or Shrewsbury are only 30 minutes away by car, complete with their array of restaurants, bars, and much more.
