The Details...

Imagine a time when life was simpler, when you could picnic in the woods and spend days by the river. Well here at The Nut Plat you can hark back to a bygone era, with a wholesome stay amongst the beauty of Mother Nature. Pluck cobnuts from the orchard or help out with the harvest, before playing with the lambs in the wild gardens. With boutique living vans and a charming country setting, this Kentish farm is a glamping haven.

The two Nut Plat wagons are set in Kents Garden of England, along a tranquil, rural lane in the hamlet of Roughway. Just an hour away from the centre of London, they are perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle. Enjoy fold-up double beds and natural oak furniture, along with stained glass windows and floral furnishings. With their own safari kitchens and private bathroom huts, each van has plenty of home comforts.

The Ransoms living van dates back to the 1900s and was once on the road as an industrial wagon. Look out for its sturdy artillery wheels or its painted wood livery, or its vintage ladder and original finery. Its bijoux interiors have a sweet country whimsy, and include white wooden walls and fold-down furniture.

A 19th century living van has also been beautifully updated and has its own secluded spot in the peaceful farmland. Cream wood-clad walls frame decorative fabrics, while a traditional log burner adds to its romantic character. Carefully restored and with a quirky design, Bomford has gorgeous interiors with a quaint, country style.

Outside each cosy hut there is an additional little wagon that has a safari kitchen and clean, basic bathroom. The kitchens each have their own two burner gas hob, along with pretty crockery and a handy cool box. Cooking essentials can be found on the shelves, while delicious hampers can be collected from the farm. The rustic style bathrooms have hot water showers and composting toilets. Ransoms has its own private wooden wood fired hot tub which can be yours for your stay - again, with as many logs as you need to keep it warm.

If you want to immerse yourself in the Great Outdoors then this part of Kent has plenty to explore. Frolic through the meadows or through the enchanting woods, before strolling along the paths towards the local river front. A village pub can be found just down the lane, while Sevenoaks and West Malling are less than half an hour away. At night time, you can sit out and play board games by the fire or gaze up and watch the starry night skies.
