Nestled in the Surrey Hills, The Merry Harriers Inn offers delightful rural accommodation with bags of character. Located along a private pathway just off the pub’s pretty garden, are six cosy Garden Rooms, each sleeping two guests with views of the llama paddock. Spend your days exploring the picturesque Surrey countryside, perhaps taking one of the llamas for a walk, before tucking into a hearty dinner back at The Merry Harriers and a glass of something on your private patio. This is cosy country living with a bit of a twist.
The Garden Rooms are located to the rear of the inn, hidden along a little pathway surrounded by pretty plants and flowers. Step inside and you’ll find yourself in a cosy double bedroom with warm lighting and vibrant splashes of colour from the artwork and bedding. You’ll find it equipped with the basics for getting you started in the morning, including tea and coffee making facilities before you head to the inn for breakfast.
There’s an ensuite bathroom where you’ll find fluffy towels and robes waiting for you along with some luxurious toiletries. The bathroom has a clean, contemporary design and features a large walk-in shower. Outside, you’ll find your own little patio area with a table and chairs and views over the garden and neighbouring llama paddock. This is a lovely spot to enjoy your morning coffee, a drink of something in the evening or just to sit back and relax with a book.
There’s plenty to do in the local area but going for a trek with your llama neighbours is a must. There are 11 llamas, each with its own personality and all ready to take you on a tour along The Greensand Way. They’ll even carry your picnic hamper for you. The Surrey Hills boast some of the prettiest scenery in the country. Head to Box Hill for a stroll featuring some spectacular views over the countryside. For more great walking, explore the heathland and woods of Devil’s Punchbowl and see if you can spot some of the local wildlife. On sunny afternoons, head to Frensham Ponds where you’ll find a sandy beach, a great spot for a picnic. The Merry Harriers will keep you well fed and watered throughout your stay and you’ll also find events hosted on a regular basis at the inn.
